Yep, EBAY is very usefull these things. I agree also just cording to the Looksmart linked images, fortunately I have IXO's.
I'm sure the stuffing has long since blown out - which may account for the deeper sound of the early sport systems!
Dug this back up just to answer my own question. It was MT May 1980. The 400S was the cover car. Just bought one on ebay.
My mind must've altered the color since the last time I saw it--in 3rd grade when that issue was new!!! lol
Chassis number 12986 with 27,000 km / 16,000 miles crosses the block at RM auctions in Monterey next week. It is listed as a 1987, but methinks this is actually a 1986 build car with side skirts added. Exhaust valance missing in this pic. Not sure if he will get it but at least he is being realistic. I would say $150k is top market for a Downdraft or a Lowbody right now, if the car has no issues. Tony
I don't know a lot about this car, not enough to predict anything, but I do know that buyers are being very discriminating and there is a flight towards absolutely no-stories immaculate cars.
the not proper skirts on this car easily cut 10k$ on his value imo you need some $ to put it back to its nice original shape
