I love Ferrari but one thing I hate is how some parts are overly marked up.
Example, the battery Dealer wants $400 for OEM I picked up this one which IMHO is smaller, lighter and better than the oem for only $200.

You'll be happy with the odyssey. I haven't put one in the Ferrari yet but I have one in my RX7, Viper and both Mini's. The one in the RX7 is 9 years old.

This is what is going in my Scuderia.

31Ah, 63 minutes of reserve and 1200 amps. It weighs 9.75 lbs. 36.5 lbs lighter than the stock battery.

I have used the Odyssey PC680, and two Braille 11.5 and 15.5 lbs in four of my previous cars (GT3, GT3 RS, Boxster Spec Racer and 924 S). I get tired of having to depend on a trickle charger permanently, and to carry a jump starter in case of emergency, three times I was let down by cold weather.

Another option for a daily driver is the PC-925 from Odyssey (28 Ah, 52 minutes reserve and 24 lbs).

Be careful with the PC680, the Ferrari has plenty of static loads (ECU, F1 pump, etc), so it may drain a PC680 in less than a week.

I had a PC680, used it temporarily until I got this one, it was barely sufficient and depending on the temp sometimes it wouldn't have enough juice to crank.

Will the replacement you used fit my 360 Modena w/o any mods.

I just pulled the OEM battery which was installed 11/05 and need to replace it.

Fit perfect in my CS, the only thing I did was add a small piece of plastic about 1/4 inch thick in front of the battery so tie down was level.

The Odyssey 925 is great. You will wonder why the oem battery that comes with the car is so big!!

I've had the Odessey 925 in my CS for about 2 years. All's well, conditional on keeping a trickle charger on it when it sits. My take is the Odessey 925, w/o trickle charger will fail to crank the engine sooner than the OEM batter w/o trickle charger.

Thumbs up for the Odyssey. Try to avoid the main stealer mark-ups, they really do take the pi$$.

I was going to go with the 925 because its lighter but opted for the 1200 because of the dimensions

I ran the 925 in my 360 and it worked great. Nice small size and saves weight. BTW, you can buy the larger size Odyssey battery from Sears under their Platinum line. It's the exact same battery only gray in color. I just put one in my truck a couple of months ago. Top notch battery. Far superior to the Ferrari OEM junk. $400? that's a laugh.

that was not my experience with the 925. I actually had far better luck allowing the car to sit with the 925 than the stock battery. No tender in either case. I could be wrong, but I think the discharge rate on the dry cell is lower. I have a similar type racing battery in my Yamaha R1 and the discharge is about 1% per month as compared with about 8 or 10% per month for a standard type battery.

I only had the 925 go dead on me once and that was because I accidentally left the dome light on all night. Other wise, never had any problems. The car could sit for 2 or 3 weeks without driving it and it would still crank fine. If I left it any longer than that, then I would cut the power under the front compartment to save the battery life.

Also, need to remember to shut off the radar after use. I am pretty sure this used to drain my battery.

Dry cell has a lower discharge rate. BUT it has lower total capacity so if there is something drawing current the dry cell will run down more quickly.

There appears to be a wide variance between 360 owners experience with the car sitting. Some last weeks others days. I suspect that the days complaints have some issue that has never been tracked down. Personally, I have a 925 and 3-4 weeks sitting is no problem.
