Anyone confirmed absolutely you will own a 458? Time frame of delivery?
In US at least,no allocations yet,not even a confirmed time frame for first deliveries,no pricing yet and obviously no guarantees for being first on the list (after all, anyone's place on the "list" will have nothing to do with the order in which cars are delivered).
My dealer (Algar)emailed me Wednesday and told me they would know more the first week of September when he will be at the factory to see the car but he anticipated he'd be taking orders/deposits at the end of September.
Long time enthusiast, first time buyer. What can I expect (and what should I accept) when I call the Ferrari dealer to get on the wait list for the 458? I'm willing to wait, so is it reasonable to expect to pay MSRP? How much of a deposit is normal? Anything else? I live in LA. Cheers fellas!
Since you live in LA, I'd suggest going down to Ferrari of Beverly Hills in person. I'm not sure if they have a "list" in place already, but if they do, it probably has a good amount of names on it already. So a personal visit might be better than a phone call. I'm not sure if the Auto Gallery out in the valley has a "list" either but I would inquire with them as well. Anyways, good luck and hopefully I'll see you driving a 458 around LA soon!
I am # 36 on the wait list at Continental in Chicago. I put my deposit down before they unveiled the design
Any idea to their allocation? How long until #36 arrives? Some of those 35 in front of you might be on other lists as well, meaning your wait could be shorter.
This forum logic drives me crazy sometimes. First, people complain the LDM wants to increase production to 10K cars per year WORLDWIDE. Then, when they introduce the 458, they complain that the waiting lists are too long. You can't have it BOTH WAYS.
The Ferrari dealer over here in Beirut, Lebanon said that they will start taking orders in the end of September, and they'll also know the price by then.
You're right, Richard. So please convince everyone else that you're right so I can get my bunch of crap earlier.
I know what "butch" means,I also know it is considered derogatory by certain ladies but what does it have to do with crap???
you can start by buying 10 360's and 430's from them. Then maybe the list, but no guarantee of a car.
My dealer guaranteed me car #1 if i was willing to pay 100k over sticker.... that is unless someone was willing to pay 101k over sticker then i would be bumped!!
If you have never bought a new Ferrari, and even then more than one at least, your will not get on the list. you will ahve to buy used or from a broker
I would be within the first 5 customers of the Ferrari dealership here in Munich, but they went under chapter 11 two months ago so no one knows what will happen with the 40 orders they have already.
If you want the list for the 458 Italia to dry up, start spreading rumours of it's replacement, the 464 Roma. That'll make the 458 depreciate heavily and become obsolete, especially the two pedal F1 versions which some people think no one wants. School is back in session, threads should be shorter now.
