I got this email today. Thought I would share. Kinda funny, kinda not.

    To my darling husband,

Before you return from your business trip I just want to let you know about the small accident I had with the pick up truck when I turned into the driveway. Fortunately not too bad and I really didn't get hurt, so please don't worry too much about me. I was coming home from the store, and when I turned into the driveway I accidentally pushed down on the accelerator instead of the brake. The garage door is slightly bent but the pickup fortunately came to a halt when it bumped into your car. I am really sorry, but I know with your kind-hearted personality you will forgive me. You know how much I love you and care for you my sweetheart. I am enclosing a picture for you. I cannot wait to hold you in my arms again.

    Your loving wife.

Found the same artical after I posted it.

Wondered the same thing. How the truck could have gotten up there without side impact damage. Apparently he was probably doing more then the post 35 mph.

Well, I get how it happened... but how did it happen without destroying the side of the 360 or the ceiling? Did the kid literally "fly" in there?

I can only suspect it was pure dumb luck. If there were any photos showing the landscaping around the garage it would probably show a berm or a busted curb.

Yes, literally. I see scrape marks on the ceiling. Also, the edge of the opening of the the garage (on the left) and the fascia along the edge of the roof (top of picture) are trashed.

Think of the road being higher than the house itself, like on a hillside.

He came in high and landed low. It looks to me like the the leading edge of the hood hit the top of the garage door opening first.

Notice the garage door panels trapped between the rear tires of the truck and the top of the 360.
I can also see the header for the garage door opening laying to the right of the truck, lengthwise, front to back.
They guy probably broke some rafter tails at the same time.

Makes a bit more sense, but talk about one-in-a-million... a Honda Civic? Sure. An F-150 though? Crazy!!!
