Me?? Well my name is James, and I have some experence with 355F1's...so I'll take a shot at it... Buy a 6spd. There, that was easy..... OK, some more thoughts... The 355 F1 system is a fantastic thing, really, and I owned a car that had a problem, the techs couldn't fix the problem and it was forever being "fixed" only to fault again and go back to the work shop. This was only annoying for me as it was covered by the warranty, but if it were not for the warranty it would have been very expensive..VERY expensive. But, I understand this experence is not common and most 355F1's are reliable. They are fun to drive but having owned both the 6spd is more rewarding as a driver, you feel more involved. Both can break, both can be reliable, both are fun. If I was shopping again 6spd or F1 wouldn't make or break a deal, 6spd would be the preference of the 2 though... I like that colour too....
Yep, I chased it around the back roads of Auckland yesterday, goes well...Could be had for the right price...
Sweet!! I think it was around AU $90K wasnt it?? They STILL have it for sale?? I wonder what they will take for it now? I should leave it for another 6 months and if they still have it, make them an offer they cant refuse.
George Parlby; but I reckon you knew that too FWIW, it's Owen Weeks car and no idea what it's doing in Sydney unless he wholesaled it.

Nice indeed.. but who in their insane mind pays crazy prices like that for minor(ish) options? You could buy several other whole cars for that.. Great pickup for someone else though.. proves yet again how little you get back from optioning up madly unless you're going to keep long term.
Exactly right my friend. If I spent that coin, it would be a keeper. Because in 30 yrs time, it wouldnt matter!
lol.. yes.. imagine in 30 years time pointing out loudly and proudly .. "AND LOOK!.. IT'S GOT CARBON FIBRE HEADLIGHTS!".. they'll say.. pfft... you paid $15,000 for THAT? (and know they're talking to a crazy person lol)
He'll have done 18K by then at his current rate. Less than $1 per kilometer for each option, if you think of it that way.
mmm.. that's still 10x my BM which I just worked out at costing only $0.097 per km with full depreciation included
Lol! In 30 yrs time you will be paying $60K for CF headlights. They will be saying "you paid $15,000 for THAT..........THATS CHEAP!!"
Its just you! But seriously, you wouldnt pay that and you would take the stock coloured wheels to your local paintshop to have them painted gold for $400!
