FGT's were never- almost never allowed to be test driven... IMO, there is a big difference between test driving a 560 hp AWD car and a 640 hp RWD car...
There are a lot of stories of the Viper being allowed to be test driven in the early days... If you are a well known race driver; or perhaps a long term customer maybe something else can be arranged, but as a dealer, I'd limit my liability; even if the car is "cheaper." I'd contact GM PR about any opportunities to drive one.

Nice pics, Blake. They look amazing! That Aston Martin Vantage is at La Place often and it's usually parked in the same space (or near the same space) every time I see it... --Grant

Hey guys, For the past few years there has been speculation of a Lamborghini Diablo SV in Allen Park. The rest of my family has claimed to see it, all but me. My buddy told me he was given a ride in it, and insists that it is in fact, a real Diablo. My father was out at the post office today and found the "Diablo" and took a few crappy pictures on his BlackBerry. I immediately thought it was a kit car for sure. I compared a real Diablo SV and this and they do seem to match up quite well, except for a few flaws. The gas cap is in a different shape, missing a badge on the intake, etc. Im 99.9% positive it is a kit car, but would like for you guys to rule this out. Thanks, Chris Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks good to me, judging by those pictures. I saw a Diablo SV kit car a few weeks ago at Lifetime Fitness in Troy, and it was really easy to tell it was a fake. Anyways, today in Birmingham/Troy there were 5 Ferraris out: A silver 612 at Ocean Prime A yellow F430 Spider at Chen Chow A red F430 on Maple in Birmingham A black F430 at Forest Grille A red 599 at the Townsend In addition to: A grey/white striped Ford GT at the 220 in Birmingham A blue/white striped Ford GT at Ocean Prime (along with a Bentley GTC) A white Bentley Azure at Cameron's A DB9 Volante by the Townsend Another DB9 on Woodward A blue Viper GTS on Woodward and a blue Lotus Elise on Big Beaver and Livernois Pics at: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=34375906&l=94e724e0f9&id=38512126
That looks pretty real to me. I think that is probably a real one, having spent a fair amount of time around and driving a former associates Diablo SV.
It would be pretty cool if there was an authentic Diablo SV running around in Allen Park. I have seen some insanely realistic kit-cars though. My father called to tell me that the start-up sounded pretty "unhealthy". Then again, he hasnt been around a Diablo. I'm not sure. Would love to know for sure if it was real or not. Heres two more pictures. Chris Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What makes you think its a fakeydo? Belongs to a familiar face on Woodward. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I guess the thought of having a real Diablo SV reside in Allen Park just doesnt seem believable to me Awesome to know its real. There were a few people who claimed to have saw it around town that said it wasnt real. Thanks Isaac. Chris
If I'm not mistaken, the driver/owner's name is Jesse. I think he also owns/owned a Testarossa and owns/owned a bar in Lincoln Park on Fort Street. It's a real Diablo SV, too. It was being serviced last year at Lamborghini of Troy. May I ask, whereabouts in Allen Park your father saw it? I haven't seen it in the area in awhile.
Yep that is Jesse's car, and he still owns the bar and grill. I have not seen his Ferrari in a long time though. On another note, his Diablo is probably the worst sounding Diablo I have ever heard.
Thanks for the information. Glad to know its real. I heard he brought it out for the classic car show on Allen Road in Allen Park a few months back. My father saw it last week at the post office in Allen Park on Allen Road by the fire station. I guess my father hopped out to take a few pictures as he was walking to the car. Otherwise, I would have been there with my camera as soon as I could. Haha I hope to see it in person soon though. Chris
It was hard to tell if it was real or not from those BlackBerry pictures and me not seeing it in person. I asked my father how it sounded, and he said the start-up sounded "unhealthy". I havent heard it in person yet, so I am not sure. Chris
