yes! ....... here is a little method I finally got around to implementing ....... for those many reasons one needs to access those battery cable terminals and that 5mm allen is not within arms reach ......... I can finally use my 'bare hands' to get those lateral protection covers off :)! 100% rust proof hardware and rubber lined to keep those covers 'hairdresser' approved ........

Well done, that really is a useful mod. When I first got my car I couldn't believe that you needed an allen key to get access to the battery posts! I would never have switched from 348 to 355 if I had known that...

    ;)

    :) :)

    .... Thanks Dave!!! ......... :) :) :)

    Coming your way! ........ :D ;)

+1 .............. it didn't make any sense to need a 'tool' to get to those posts to me either ........ ............. even though it is only really needed on the terminal side ........ 'standard hairdresser coordination protocol' ....... mandates matching both sides ......... :D

Removal of the laterals is a pain that can be addressed with a quick and easy solution. Picked up a set of these from Oz this week, just installed them tonight and am extremely pleased with this solution - brilliant.

The laterals can now be removed in a matter of moments using my fingers rather than an allen wrench - sweet!

Yes! Both brilliant and sweet! It really should have come that way from the Factory. No wonder why so many of those laterals went missing.

This is how tool-free access is on my F355 Challenge...

I have a set and they work great. Waiting on the next Gothspeed 355 improvement like maybe a new bypass valve that doesn't rattle or cost over $1,000 for something that should sell for 1/10 of that.

I believe (can check) they are M6 threads.

McMaster-Carr has many types. I just designed these into a reusable shipping crate this week.

I never saw a ink or supplier listed in the posts ?
A set would be nice to have ;)
What other "cool" mods does Gothspeed 355 have laying around in past posts ?
See the McMaster-carr link, do we have a part # or size ?
