    Hi all,

I gave Saner a deposit and purchase order over a year ago to make up a few sets of swaybars but things aren't looking good as in he won't return phone calls and no swaybars etc. I heard he is still in biz making swaybars so if anyone has any ideas how to:

    1. get my deposit back ($1100) ... can I do small claims from California?

    2. get the guy to make the swaybars or pickup whatever he has done in exchange for my deposit ($1100) and I'll finish the things.

    Cheers,

    Sean

Shoot, i had the SAME problem, yet after CONSTANT calls and e-mails finally got them about 5 months later. They are worth it per se, but a full year. I'd be pissed! i know someone on this board could could make them and have been begging him to do so for almost two years now. The problem is liability, but really he could just say they are for show cars and not for actual use as a disclaimer.

Tell you what, if there is enough interest and i can convince him to take them off the 308 track car that was here, how many orders would you guy pony up for at the same price? Can easily financane the project. Make it worth my wild and i might just do it myself. Frankly, it is not worth my time, sorry and all but that is the truth. It REALLY transforms the car to MUCH better handling so put your $$$ where your mouth is guys and make me want to actually do this just to help you guys.

I have a set which I think were the same production run as yours Steven from a few years ago. I discussed in detail with Saner some changes so the new batch would not intefere with the front suspension at droop plus some other minor changes to the rear.

    Thanks for any help,

    Sean

Yes, same 'batch' with corrected geometry. If there is enough interest... am NOT looking to make $$$ quite frankly, just wanna break even as will 'hire' others to do all the 'work' as i know a few engineers who can crank out batches of these bars, then get someone else to round up the spherical bearings, bolts/bits and Energy Suspension bushings. If you want to 'donate' you bars for initial fabrication and you want to gather the other bits to make this happen lemme know. Heck, i'd be happy to just let you do it all and i'll bow out in full. You can make $$ if you want on it and i'll connect you with the fabricators if you do not already know a few.

    Hi Sean,

    What changes did you recomend??

It took me about 5 months to get the bars through ExcelsiorZ, who does a fair amount of business with Carlson. I figured it was worth the $750 for a set of bars

    BUT

The drop links were too small for the front and only the fact that i had made a set beforehand for another bar saved my but, Called, emailed, no response. Still have a set of wrong drop links as paper weights.

The back bar is too narrow and relies on flimsy half inch spacers to get the drop links close to vertical. The rear bar needs to be about 1 inch wider. I was concerned about crushing the tiny 1/2 inch spacers and never could get a torque spec from him.

Please Verell, add bars to your list of to dos.

    Good luck,
    chris

While I'd really really like to make them, I simply cannot afford the product liabililty insurance I'd have to take out. Looked into it when this 1st came up, it ran to more than my annual gross sales!

Saying they're for 'show cars only' wouldn't slow down an aggressive attorney, he'd just cite 'attractive nuisance' or something similar.

However, I've heard that Dave Helms has been able to get the insurance & has the capabilities to do the design & mfg., so you might be able to twist his arm into sourcing him. The other person that could do it would be Paul Hill.

I think we had another thread where we discussed those changes and I discussed all of them with Saner/Carlson. He was also going to supply the lateral support collars and a longer front shock mount bolt and spacer to stop the front bar binding up under droop. I think an Fchatter got one of these newer generation bars that were also supposed to be power coated instead of plated like the first ones.

If he would just make good on this order we'd have 5 sets to go around. I only need one set.

They don't hit the suspension under droop?
