Another loser with a black Merc "NVR 2L8". I have nothing against MB but I just think the whole 'envy' thing is pathetic. BTW, this was just your basic MB but I did see a Brabus in Maroochydore last week was so surprised I can't remember what the plate was...
Haha just pointing out that that plate didn't have much to do with envy. Unless they wanted people to envy r2's latte?
love this thread awesome pics guys, i have a fascination with heritage / numerical number plates, especially from victoria as theats where im from
here we go again, another wannabe number plate broker on fchat... If you guys new anything about Enzo Ferrari, you would know that he was adamant that his name would never be associated with a road car that wasn't a V12. FIAT badged V8's as Ferraris long after Enzo lost control of the car building operation.
Enzo wouldn't have known that F1 would be V8 and that the V8 models would run rings around the V12s. I'm sure he'd have happily changed his mind by now.
Enzo ran ANY configuration in his cars if he thought it would win a race .... he even entertained the idea of a 2 cylinder !! The V12 thing was a nice marketing myth although the Dinos did come about as he didn't want his name on the V6 , but it was more than good enough for his beloved dead son ... go figure that one out !!
"whoooa there pardner".. when I said "quick" it's because its avail on the RTA site.. I'm not selling it to you! sheesh .. Would a driver/owner/plate broker really worry about what Enzo thought .. if it suits a modern car he never imagined then it suits..
Re your first point you are correct, which is why I said "road cars". Re your second point, WTF? It was no myth, the man said it, more than once and in writing too. There was no Ferrari badge on a non-V12 until the second series 308GT4, at the instigation of the FIAT marketing people, to improve sales. They respected Enzo's wishes until the red ink and unsold GT4's piled up. Dino was an advocate of V6's for F1, calling the road 246 a Dino was a tribute to his son. You V8 guys can rewrite history all you like, but they'll never be real Ferraris.
