Yeah, well I wasn't suggesting it made any sense in my world either. I'd be quite happy atm with what I could buy with just what he spent on options. They don't really fit in with what we're used to seeing on modern road cars, I guess. They do send strong references to all those le mans sportscars back in the day. Only a small percentage of admirers would get that though.
All that money and he couldn't get a gold stripe to go with the matching rims, the wrong stripe is enough for me not to buy it hahaha. Here is another one, no pics, http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/FERRARI/F430/Sydney/detail.aspx?id=12616255&lid=12616255&pg=4&pp=0&d=0&nv=1&SG=2080582370&pt=1 delivered in march09 also has $75k in options. Only $550k
Your guy did 3 times the milage in a third the time too. So must be more fun to drive than the other one? lol
Knock $140k off the asking price for options you don't really want or need - $440k, now you're lookin' good!
yeah the price of those options is my entire car purchase budget LOL Gold wheels are terrible, couldnt think of anything worse, the only time that gold wheels are acceptable is on a JPS colour schemed Lotus, or on WRX (and even then i dont like it). otherwise silver or shadow chrome is far nicer. and while were on the topic, whats the obsession over the last 5 or so years with black wheels, the whole point of nice wheels is to see them, not to hide them. at least a silver lip on them or something
Ferrari have that history of gold racing wheels, but yeah, its ornamentation and should make the car look good, not strange. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Absolutely - and the acceptable range is "just acceptable" Also I thought that the gold wheels were standard on the scud - what do you get if you don't pay the extra???
"blacking" is a plating finish for magnesium that is strong and prevents corrosion, it's commonly used for wheels and transaxle casings in competition cars. No doubt someone noticed that it looks tough and copied for road cars.

it's the only explanation as to why he didn't like that. either that or a huge lack of maintenance and taste!
AWESOME 575 GTC! Only one in Aus apparently. http://www.carpoint.com.au/used-car/FERRARI/575%20MARANELLO/Western%20Australia/csn7503488.aspx
Nice, only problem is that when its time to change plates to your state the "Built in Radar Detector & Lazer Gun Jammer" are totally illegal which comes with a $1200 and 9pts fine Best to neg a deal without the detector/jammer
i remember this car being delivered back when i lived on the wrong side of the country I think FFour took some good photo's of it.
