Silly season underway, still several races remaining in '09, will the new teams actually see the grid, who knows what lurks for 2010.... This is the first prediction I've seen on a news website - very interesting speculation from crash net

If the paring of Button and Sena occur, well sorry Jense but it's Bruno over you! The speculative Manor team is an awesome paring, glad to see Adam Carroll's name in there. Interesting is that there's no "room at the inn" for Kimi in F1. I would have projected the same names for Renault. If Gil de Ferran does what he says and runs two IRL cars and maintains an ALMS team (possibly two) herein lies what could be ahead for his friend Rubens and Rubens in a fan friendly series would be fantastic. What fun lies ahead ! ! !

What about having Kimi go to Renault and team up with Kubica. I would also like to see Heidfeld at Toyota in place of Glock. He is a much better driver than him.

I'd take Rosberg over Heiki any day of the week.

I'm surprised people are saying Wurz @ USF1 - is that based on anything specific? I'd take Heidfeld over Wurz any day of the week too.

I wouldn't be crazy about Wurz at USF1 in a race seat, but he'd be a good test driver. I don't see what faith McLaren could still have in Heikki, either.

The Ferrari lineup looks good though.

Agree,In case Alonso goes to Ferrari,he must be the 1st driver there.

I feel reading lot of post at this forum,a lot of you looks like dont like/trust Alonso as a Ferrari F1 team driver,,,,,why???
Is something wrong about spanish drivers in your heads?? or little bit celuos to see no "anglosajon" guy there?? or what is the problem???,,,,,because I can not understand some comments at this forum.

Looking at Alonso`s "curriculum vitae" at F1(or from his earlier racing eras) I think is one of the best drivers at F1 grid for any strong team today.Alonso still has got the phisic health to drive F1 for some season more with best results,he has got all the experience a team need,he has got 2 champs with french RENAULT cars(Who trust to see renault like champions the season when they re-entried at F1??? NOBODY,,but some time later they did it by Alonso,,,,,look at BMW,teoric stronger brand than RENAULT,,they are comming back home now with 0,00000 Champs success at pocket, why?) behind his back.He has got a lot of things than a serious team needs from a serious driver.
But the most important thing Alonso has is the same than Schumi had when he was at F1(i`m not comparing): Not only a serious driver,is a guy who know how to develop/improve a car,and has got the correct way to translate all he need from the car to his enginers and mechanics there. This is the stronger point of this guys that differences them from the rest: "the way to develop any car they drive there".

Come onnn,Alonso is an asset for Ferrari if you see the actual drivers in F1.Seriuosly,I trust in him(and is not about to be spanish like him,no stupid thigs in my mind,,,really),I find him a very serious way to recuperate the Ferrari results in F1.This join Ferrari/Alonso i`m sure will be the best thing they can do,Ferrari has got to stay on F1 TOP,or ALWAYS in the fight to stay on top,,today(and from Schumi F1 retirement)Ferrari is on a less step than that, they need Alonso, and Alonso need Ferrari,is very clear, even a blindman could see that.

If any F1 team had any sense, Bruno Senna wouldn't have a place in F1. He wasn't particularily impressive in GP2.

Alonso would first have to outperform Felipe to get that red camera above his car.Circa 2007 when Kimi came onboard,he had to wear the lime green camera until he won his WDC.

Nope.Kimi.Even though I prefer Felipe.Though,Felipe has improved so much he might actually be a legit contender for the top driver award. Why is everyone so obsessed with Alonso.I dont get it.

jajajja,,,I think you need to see te 2007 season again, but i`m going to tell you something:

If one team contract the best driver/devoloper of the grid at that moment,to use that to push a rookie F1 driver to win a champ in his first year, and "let in a side" a 2 times champion, because you want to rent all:the money you inverted before in the F1 rookie along his career, and the rent to put a enlgish driver and team champion there,,,,my frind this shot is going to scape by the back of the gun,no by the front, always, and with ANY DRIVER under that team situation in going to happen that.
You can not promise the 1st place on the team to a driver if you really are going to do the totally opossite to that, this was the Mclaren problem, not Alonso,Alonso`s reaction was the normal of any driver under this team acts.
I can remeber now what happened to Lewis when he had "all the numbers of the auction" and all the responsability to win the champ at 2007,HE FAILED in the pit entry at China GP,and the HE FAILED again at Brasil GP,so the Champ for Kimi(because Ferrari let him to get the position passing Massa in a pit stop).

If Maclaren simply had been the things like Ferrari with Schumi/Rubens jerarqy era,one clear 1st driver,Schumi, and one clear 2nd driver,Rubens,,,,all could be too much different at 2007 season about McLaren.

Because is the only one driver at the grid who beated schumi at race tracks.

Because was 2 times champion fighting against Ferrari army.

Because the rest of the F1 drivers respect him more than a lot of low minded people here.

FA act's like a spoilt brat when he has a team mate thats as fast as him on track.

He may have matured but I still reckon the above will still apply, he needs to pampered with a submissive #2 team mate, and thats his down fall.

However he is probably the best all round driver on the grid IMO.

    A few reasons:

    - He beat beloved Michael Schumacher twice and the Ferrari fans didn't like that.
    - He was a whining brat at McLaren when Hamilton gave him a run for his money
    - He was actively getting information about the Ferrari to use it on his McLaren
    - He was not indicted in McLaren gate because he blew the whistle (read ratted them out)

    A few reasons:

    - He beat beloved Michael Schumacher twice
    - He is one of the best development drivers on the grid, he turned the Renault into a winner, he turned the McLaren into a winner and he turned the Renault into a winner again
    - He is the most complete driver
    - He is one of the fastest drivers

    No problem.

Biggest exaggeration there ever was. Who almost brought the McLaren team down?

    - Whitmarsh + all the other McLaren managers who launched Stepneygate
    - Dela Pink for being the active test driver of the Ferrari data
    - Alonso for the same reason
    - Hamilton's dad for stoking the Alonso/Hamilton flames
    - Hamilton for disregarding team agreement at the qualifying session in Budapest, that's what caused the pit incident and eventually the whistle blowing

    How soon we forget.

call me low minded if you want.I understand your Castillian pride, but Kimi is superior to Alonso.Ask Schumi.BTW,Alonso didnt win that title in 06,Ferrari lost it.There is a difference. You cannot go on record and say that on their best days Alonso is superior to Schumi. Not happenin' bro.

Alonso is better than Kimi. And I'm saying this as a Kimi fan (check my avatar, which is my personal helmet). Let's be realistic.

Kimi peaked at McLaren (where he had an unreliable car) and was lucky to get the title with Ferrari. Now he is done and should leave F1.

Alonso right now is superior to Schumacher, but that's an age thing. Once Alonso is 40 he wouldn't be able to trump the Schumacher of 40.

    Oh¡¡, no¡¡,sorry I was no refering to you,of course not,please not offend,,may be I had got to put "outside there",not "here".And "low minded" is a way to say,like a expresion,no more,sorry,my english is poor,sorry about that.

Could be agree about 2006 season, but if you use that way,you can ask Schumi why Kimi won 2007,Kimi didn`t won,McLaren lost it.isn`t?.
In any case Alonso has got 2 champs against "kaiser`s troops".
Kimi has got 1 champ agaisnt a F1 rookie and a very altered Alonso,no one agaist "kaiser`s troop",,,,and this is so muuuch different.

I hope Alonso in Ferrari, because I love Ferrari, and I hope him there to show all the tifosi that we can believe again in a good binomiun "car/driver" at "Scuderia Ferrari",,never seen after Schumi`s retirement.Honestly I think that.
