Hello D, Yes, I have seen the yellow Maserati Gran Tourismo once before. I saw it heading up the Mt. Rose HWY towards Incline Village just like you did. That was a couple of months ago though. There is also a black Maserati Gran Tourismo owned by a young (VERY YOUNG) man here in Reno. -G.B.
I must say GB, you are a Brian Zuk in the making...and I mean that the the highest sense. Brian is THE Bay Area's "spotter" (as you can see in the previous posts, he is EVERYWHERE), and a GREAT guy to boot. His parents support him 110% for his passion for cars and they also deserve credit. Nice to see/hear about some exotics in the Truckee Meadows!!! BTW Brian, I still have that Ferrari shirt for you!!! PM me.
LOL! Thanks for the compliment! I will never be as good as the "master" and great friend (Brian Zuk)...not even close. Yes their is some friendly competition between us (isn't that right Brian? ) but that's half the fun! I'm glad you and other f-chatters enjoy reading my posts. I'll be sure to post every "spot" I see on this thread. keep your eyes open! -G.B.
GB, BTW, the Jensen Interceptor IS a classic!!! Remember your PASSION is about the history! That car was/is a GREAT car! It may be a "few" years old, but if you are a true "petrol head", go start hanging out at Intrepid... The "SOUL" lives there! as far as Reno is concerned. You will see the ORIGINAL Ferrari TR's, etc. Get "in" w/ those guys, the are a good group!
hahaha. I looked it up on yahoo after I posted. I HAVE seen a green one here in Reno. Always wondered what it was. lol. As for hanging out at Intrepid, Burt and I are good friends. -G.B.
Burt is a good guy!!! They also support/restore/rebuild, all of those cars you see in his shop for vintage racing...and I mean guys from all over the US that trust him w/ $3-5M cars that fly in and race, etc. Last time I visited(few years back, he used to work w/ my fathers' cars), Burt had TWO 250TR's, and TONS of other classics... If I were you, I would try to get a job w/ him (sweeping floors, WHATEVER, etc.)... you will learn a LOT!!! Let alone the connections you would make;-) IMHO, he is THE shop! DO IT!!!
Funny you mention getting a job there; at the beginning of this summer, I asked my dad if I could apply for some kind of job there. He said no because it would be a long commute each day. So instead, I work with the other kind of horsepower at an equestrian center with my girlfriend. It's only a 7 mile drive round-trip. Last time I was there, I saw a 575GTC, 250 SWB, Testarossa, and some others including a Lola. He's a GREAT guy. I'll have to stop by in the near future to say hi and see the shop again. Tonight in Reno: Black Ferrari 308 GTS Red Mercedes Gullwing -G.B.
(not part of any shows, just on the road crusing tonight in DT Monterey!) Red Enzo White/Blue Veyron Silver Vector M12 Rosso Scud Yellow 560 Spyder Black Alfa 8C .....then TONS of the more 'common' exotics like 430s, R8s, gallardos, etc. Crazy down there right now! Pics/Vids soon. ...and spotted kirby on his way home, driving slow as hell -Brian
Went up to Sonoma to pick up some wine and oysters today and had a couple sightings. All of them around 3 PMish... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Two Red Ford GTs on 680S...one all red, one with white stripes. Yellow LP640 Coupe in Walnut Creek -Brian
Yesterday, sunday, too many cars driving around Carmel/Monterey to post. Ones I spotted that I did not see at any events, to name a few of the rarer ones, carrera gt, f50, slr roadster, 16Ms, dbs volante, versace edition lp640, 599s, veyron, blah blah blah blah. It was crazy...but the Pebble Beach Concours was even crazier. Vids to come.
Lol, you kidding...I've got a couple gigs to sort threw still lol. Im gonna put up the PBCs vids up first probably, then Concorso...I'll let you know when it's up or you can just check my channel. Best
