That is just great. I love to see stuff like this.

First, the car got a real thrashing for 110,000 fun filled miles. Then it gets rewarded with a second life.

    Wonderful...

    Yup

Dunno. I trust the body guy. Fellow Fchatter and body genius.

Not too bad for a driver. Next step is some Verell's paperweights and some QA shocks/lowered springs :D

Yes, and it still pulls stock dyno numbers.

    Sweet car! Tillman.

I think this is to prove that if you take care of your 328, it's pretty much bullet-proof!

It looks exellent Tillman! I can't wait to see more of the progress, or the completion! That's awesome that a motor with that mileage is still putting out, speaks well of the quality. Anything going on with the interior, or is this a paint restoration only?(not sure what the previous condition was, just curious)

Color matched and clear coat. Not yet clear coated yet, nor polished. This is just the first coats.

Nope, stockers. The previous owner reworked them when he rebuilt the suspension in 2000 at 50K miles, they're still fine. The change will be strictly for cosmetics, honestly.

    That's awesome...! Congratulations...!!!

Yours might now be my favorite 328. I think the fact that it has over 100,000 miles and the original unrebuilt engine is a testament to how reliable a Ferrari can be if it's driven often enough. Congratulations to you, I look forward to your '210,000-miles service' thread. :)

I went by Jano's on Thursday & saw the progress, the front bumper was off & being repaired. Poor thing had so many rock chips it looked like a map to the Milky Way Galaxy. Can't wait to see the end result.

It like the timing belts -- 110K miles or 20 years -- whichever comes first ;)

Congrats Tillman. My '78 only has 105k on it. I've been too slacking the past couple of years. :)
