How does the scuderia gain the added 30 hp from the same v8 the F430 has?
what are some of the performance upgrade options make get more power from a F430?

    Thanks,
    Rebel

Firstly, I understand the difference to be 20HP (490 vs. 510). I suspect most of the gains result from updated ECU programming and air management (air boxes, CF intake and exhaust).

cutting a couple hundred pounds doesn't hurt the power to weight ratio either.

The Carbon Racing seats in an OEM 430 will do a good chunk of that

It's going to take more than just putting on airboxes and a remapped ECU if you're considering converting your 430 into a Scuderia.

No No, i don't even have one yet....i'd rather own one debt free.

im not to terribly worried about turning a 430 into a scuderia...just in the surface scratching research i've done on them it would be far to difficult to do in my hands...a ferrari while it has a horse on it's emblem is not like my mustang. LOL

I started with a mustang, and I'm sure I'm not the first here to admit it.

You sound exactly like me. I have only bought my cars with cash, no loans.

my dad taught me 2 very very important money things.
you go in debt on school/ education, and on a house both will pay you in the long run.
pay cash whenever you can...that being said i will probably do some financing on my Ferrari when i can afford it...never hurts to have a little bit of debt knowing you can pay it off quickly if need be.

    I agree, it takes more.

But I changed the boxes to Scud style and added new BMI filters, along with a change in the exhaust system. These mods, according to dyno certification, put the power up approx 15 hp and helped with a slight revision to torque curve--smoothed it out through mid range.

Also, if you have "new" F430, you also get the CC brakes "standard", a nice change in handling via unsprung weight assistance.

Obviously, the rest of the weight reductions and the other various standard Scud mods to suspension are valuable and DO add to the Scud's performance envelope--so just these minor fixes aren't going to give you a Scud...

But, they absolutely make it a better F430 :)
