Excellent pics of this crash here: http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/ferrari-250tr-crash-at-the-monterey-historics/#30 Mainly damage to front right corner. Looks repairable, but big $$$?
Fantastic shots 98. When you flick between photo 8 and 9 you can see how much the guard is deflected. Fortunately he didn't hit anything straight on. Just seemed to glance the tyres.Good on him for getting it out there.
Certainly could've been a lot worse. He got off lightly for arriving all locked up and out of control at the corkscrew. You can see he still keeps his fingers inside the spokes as its jumping through the air and impacting the barrier. Guy needs a driving coach. Damage minimal, imho. Here's a question; does that bonnet scoop mate up an effectively sealed, filtered air box onto his inlet trumpets or has that motor just had meusli for breakfast?
I was driving my 355 from Geelong to Melbourne this arvo and spotted a red 430 coupe going the opposite way. Bloody common things, these Ferraris!
The story used to be that if you pranged at the Corkscrew you were,nt allowed to compete at LG again....is this still the case???
Perhaps. You would HAVE to laugh if you were going to crash a multi-million dollar car into a tyre wall right??? True?? Wow!!
She'd run out of kibble for the corgis. Who was she gunna call? Mr 20%, her faithful kibble broker to the rescue.
