Does it at all shock you that he ignored a few honest awe'ed requests to see photos of his baby? When I got my last one, I could not wait to post pics of it.

"Honest Mike" says he scrimped & saved his way to a 355-and enough cash to keep it running for what, a year?-and then exits stage left when asked to produce proof.

then...

"Angry Wife" chimes in about her selfish SOB husband and his 308 (which is for sale btw!), again with no proof.

The Fchat militia has a field day flaming Mike and the Wifey in a brutal (and comical) ball-busting ritual. Two noobs, both pwned, in one thread.

A Ferrari is not hard as you think it is to get. Just go over to wallmart and go pick one up for $20 and your good.

Its when you want a running fully funtional ferrari is when it becomes expensive .

 

OK, I'll bite where is it, what year, how much and seeing as funds are tight...has maintenance been kept up at all or has it just been driven? 308's usually need lots of lovin' ie parts...skipping service transfers that cost to the new owner to get the car properly serviced or risk it snapping a Tbelt or something. Nobody rides for free when it comes to Fcars, eventually someone will have to sort out what's been missed over the years or risk a costly breakdown. The selling price should in some way reflect any upcoming major service due and take those costs into consideration. If it needs nothing and service is current...lots of people like 308's.

It does sound like your hubbys 308 didn't take your family finances into consideration but did he have the 308 first...before the family ect? If he did, and he's not spending all the family income on parts ect then making him part with it is like asking him to part with his F-jewels. If he just did what he wanted while the family suffered because he wanted a Ferrari no matter what, then yes, that would be selfish. I have many cars that have outlasted wives for less offenses than trying to sell my Ferrari behind my back.

Everybodys jobs are in the toilet...welcome to America, cut the guy some slack. I don't know him maybe he's a king sized slime ball but if he didn't bring it all on himself and your lives just kind of evolved crapily ever after...maybe try and enjoy it with him or maybe change your screen name to add Fcar hater too. Nothing will drive a spike between you and your hubby like a car competing for attention. Fcars are hot and guys really like em so you have some competion if you want to make it a contest. BTW there can be no winner. Even if you "win" and he gets rid of the car...he won't be happy. If he keeps it and you are resentful...then you don't win. If you try and like it together...it's a win win for both sides. He'll get another job or work will pick up...he won't let it get that bad...he'll have to sell the car if that happens. Trust me he doesn't want to do that!! I might be FOS but I have fought this car vs woman thing all my life...as I said...I still have the cars ;-) and am so happy I made the choices I did ;-) You can try and beat 'em but it's usually easier to join 'em.

 

Just a couple more bucks, you can drive it around with a remote control.
