What do you guys think?? Both Rossa and handle about the same in stock form. Both have very similar 0-60 times. They both look to be designed by the same individual and have that 'rough around the edges' look ... something those 'macho' drivers really seem to go for :).

But in the end the edge goes to the Gremlin, which has actually achieved 'classic status' ...... which the 348 though of similar age ...... may never achieve ...... :(.

I'd like to see 360 wheels on the Gremlin.

As I recall, didn't Graham Hill win at Monza in a Gremlin at one point? Hands
down, one of the true classics. And to think that AMC with their pacer could
shine ANY light on the Gremlin Classics in Monterey....

Didn't I see one of these in the background in one of those pics from Bee Jay at Monterey? It had the ground effects package on it so you may have missed it. I think it was a class winner from the mid '70's. The wide small class. :D

YES, of course! I had completely forgotten the Wide Small Class. My
first wife was in that class.

What does it cost to have a 15K service done on the Gremlin?

It is very expensive because you have to remove the car from the engine to service the car. ;)

Well I can easily explain the similarities, Ferrari used the Gremlin as it's hidden test car to test the almighty 348. Just as the 348 was the test car for the Enzo (this is true).

Wonder why they never used the best car in the world ever to test the Enzo??????

    Probably way to pretty:p;):):D

That saying should be "the best car in the world for the average non demanding, gel wearing, goldchain flowin, bad combover, non passionate males ever."

The look on the guys face cracks me up! It is saying, "Man, I got lucky! I was able to get the hot chick without having to pay out the butt for the Ferrari. Thank GOD that I had my Pacer. Thanks again AMC! ;) ".

Please hide this rendering before someone in Detroit thinks it's the next retro project...

That's the thing with rumors, there more often than not...wrong.

The fact is, it is faster than a 348 Ferrari, which I hear is not much to gloat about.... :p
