    !@#$%! Are drivers being bigger *******s these days or am I just having a run of bad luck?

    My wife's car had almost the whole passenger side scraped up, two doors, front fender and rocker molding by some SUV/truck backing out and taking out her side. $2.5K in body work, a few months ago.

    Today I look at my daughter's car and notice someone apparently backed into her driver side front wheel well and bent it in 1-2", so the driver side fender curled under into the well. Probably another few hundred to pull it out and touch up.

    As I'm pointing it out to my daughter and asking her where she went today, my wife pulls up, asks what we're looking at and when she gets out of the car to look, she looks back and says "oh, ****!". Some car/SUV/truck put a 4x6" dent and scraped up the rear fender and bumper, streaks of yellow paint, while she had it parked at work! Another deductible to pay out.

    None of these jerks left a note, no witnesses, just trashed other peoples cars then skipped out. These things happen now and then and I usually just grumble then let it go, but when they pile up it like this, well I just had to vent.

    The liberal mindset of 'not my problem' in Cali has grown in the past year. I've noticed it here in FL too. How can someone do a thousand dollars damage and not see it as a responsibility?

    I feel for ya. I have had this type of thing happen many times over the past ten years or so. I now drive a high mile beat-up pick-up truck to work that I paid cash for. My wife drives a Ford Explorer that is also paid and high mile. I leave the expensive cars home for general driving, going to work and going to the store, just makes sense. Every time my truck gets a new dent, ding or scratch I can smile knowing I do not have to call the insurance company. People are a**holes these days and they could care less how hard you work or what it will cost you, hell they even fight not to pay when they are caught in the act! Anyway, I am sorry to hear about the damages.

    There have been many threads on FChat before about this, as many asked why anyone would park their Ferrari 'away' from other cars.....most of the TOOLS who posted on FChat don't read stories like this, and have no clue what's going on out there. To them, a car is just an appliance that requires no special protection, and everyone is 'responsible'. Fools....

    LOL....but they want "free" insurance for everyone. ;)

    It's the same here in Houston. People parking ****ty as hell, not merging on the freeway at speed/changing lanes, etc, etc.

    When will Pres. Barry start talking about stricter driving rules?

    A few months ago I took out the back molding of the rear bumper my first time riding a motorcycle, it wasn't too bad, I left a note letting them know, and pushed the bumper back with the clips it had, and havn't got a call since.

    Our 2 daily drivers are 2-3 years old. I don't even bother fixing dents/scratches anymore. Whats the point? Some other retard just damages it...

    Our BMW has been backed into on the left front (I banged it out with some body tool), scratched along the right side, and dented on the left door.

    The minivan, has been hit, indented on 3 corners, with mutiple scratches...

    Screw it. I figure I will drive the cars into the ground...

    I'll always remember the time at a local event when some dingbat girl damaged a friends Gallardo. He got upset about it (as he should've) and her boyfriend came to her aid. His defense? "Dude, you've got a Lambo. You can afford it."

    A co-worked just called me from the parking garage and said there is a Mustang with it's bumper knocked off. I notified security.

    Since moving from Atlanta, where the parking spots are H U G E to northern CA, where they are tiny, it takes me a lot longer to find a place I am comfortable with. My wife no longer complains about taking awhile to find a spot because people just dont care anymore.

    It seems the standard way to get out of a street spot in San Fran is this.

    1. Put car in reverse and go backwards until your car stops because there is another behind you.
    2. Put car into drive and pull out of spot, or scrape front bumper on person in front of you and pull out.......

    Needless to say I WILL NOT parallel park my Z ANYWHERE in San Fran............

    So the day following this I witnessed a accident in the garage. Tahoe hit a Taurus driver-side front corner by the headlight.

    I ran down the 2nd floor after them and they kept driving. I met them on the 1st floor (a coworker saw me and said I had a look on my face like I was going to kill someone) and caught the lady. She claimed she had no idea. She said she had her radio up loud and it was her husbands truck and she's not use to driving it.

    When she made her way back to the 2nd floor, I saw what surprised me. It did extensive damage to the front and rear doors on her (husbands?) truck; more than the taurus. I'm talking several thousands in damage to her own vehicle.

    Is it possible that someone would not know they hit a car that has extreme damage?
