Maybe I was unclear. By *this forum* I meant the 360/430 forum, which, I admit, I have only tracked for about 6 months or so. Jeff
Amazing what the mind of a 16 year old can come up with. Have not seen him in a while.......that's right, schools are back in session.
Well I can only hope that when my 5 year old twins (they were born on Jerry's Birsthday), grow up, they have a lot beeter things to do than BS on forums like these. I wonder if I can buy a Harvard MBA on ebay, seems they are everywhere these days.
Thank you, thank you! I needed a laugh today and both of these threads were excellent. By the way, I just upgraded from a 355 spider to a F430 F1. Wow what a difference.
Good one, lol. I call bull too. If you made 145k you wouldn't be here asking us for money advice if you graduated from business school, you should know how to handle your own finances.
Over the weekend, I'll visit some dealers and see what I'm working with. So far, I am considering BMW, Mercedes Benz, Ferrari (haven't lost all hope), Porsche, and Bentley. I'll keep you all updated. -RR
Yeah, keep flipping through that Dupont, you're forgetting some other exotic makes. Better check them all out. (sigh)
If every word that you've posted is true (e.g. Harvard MBA, actually employed), giving a big benefit of the doubt here, there is not a successful businessman on this planet who would ever take your consulting advice if he learned that your *first* automobile was an exotic...in NYC! It's not just the business case for such a car, it's that there are certain nuances about parking and gassing up and valeting and road trips that you *learn* in your first car that are entirely inappropriate for learning in really almost all prestige cars (maybe the Audi R8 could be a daily driving exception to this rule, but even that's a stretch).
I will make sure I remember my user name and password for this website. Whether it takes me 6 months or 10 years, I'll be back on here. And with me, will be pics stored on my clipboard ready to be pasted in this thread... these pics will display a rather luxurious car -- model is unknown, and so is the year. If it may be a Maybach or a BMW M6... I will be back with a gallery of my new car... that is, my new LUXURY car. -RR
I've just put on my most comfortable outfit, and I'm sitting in my favorite chair. There's a bag of popcorn on my left, and the refresh button on my right.
Look kid, I'm all for ya. But do it right. Don't try to jump into an exotic for your first ever car. Go pick up a new Chevy Camaro, bang it around hard on the street, track it a few times, and *then* go buy your exotic. ...and for pics, heck, you can rent an exotic in NYC and Atlanta for a weekend. That's a cheap way to snap some cool pics and have a great time, and chat boards won't be the wiser for it. Go forth, enjoy, but be smart about it.
