Irrelevant. Fiorano is Luca's home track. I've said this several times, but I'll say it again. If those times meant anything, Luca would have been racing long before last week.
+1 That being said, he knows Spa, and should make a better job. I don't see him scoring any points, but I expect at least that he won't look ridiculous this time.
The relevance is that even on his home track, being much younger and fitter, his lap times were not that good. Bear in mind it's a short circuit, half a second is a lot. My guess it that his performance in Spa will be similair to Valencia, maybe a couple of tenths better. I am afraid he will still look ridiculous.
Oh--It sounded by your post that you were using it as a possibility that there's speed in Luca's tank somewhere. I guess it's because you initially talked about Fiorano representing his true potential.
2000 and 2001 are 9 and 8 years ago,and talking about F1,8 years of difference between seasons is like the difference between the stone age and the present day.Is totally irrelevant data there, but interesting to know. What about Anthony Davidson,I heard he was claiming to drive the F60 this next GP`s????? Do you heard something about that?
He's done an incredible amount of laps around fiorano. I personally think Davidson might be a good choice (and piquet). Both have experience driving the 2009 spec cars.
IMO Fisichella would be a good choice to replace Badoer and it would be in the team’s interest to let him go as a deal could be negotiated to reduce the amount of money that team boss Vijay Mallya owes to Ferrari. Force India also has a very good replacement in Tonio Liuzzi. Alternatively, Liuzzi could be called up by Ferrari. Ant Davidson also a reasonable choice.
Davidson always seemed to impress as a practice driver/qualifier. And I seem to recall he was good in the wet. I'd like to see him get a legit opportunity.
Yep, why not? Luca's had his ride, time for Fisi to have his shot with the one team he always wanted to drive for. There's no chance he'd embarrass himself.
Funny I was watching a old Top Gear program tonight, it was : Porsche GT3 v Ferrari 360CS You know the one where JC says : The Ferrari is a scaled down version of god. And the Porsche 911 is a jumped up VW Beetle... I know it was a bit tongue in cheek but Badoer was the driver in the Ferrari and JC was in the 911, now bear in mind stiggybird posted the exact same time round the track in the the two cars very good as well the same as in tenths.!, So we can assume the cars although the Ferrari is 50k dearer are pretty much equal. Ermm stop rambling Steve...top and bottom Clarkson in the 911 blew Badoer off racing him in the Ferrari..
Really??,,,,,mmmmm,,,I`d pay to watch myself try it,not to "entry",to drive it ¡¡¡¡ jejejeje We saw him at original GT40(not the "remake" car),impossible close the door or "head cut" ¡¡¡ jajajaj is funny guy jejejej
Ha ha Yes he is one of the better ones I agree, given the choice I'd rather see him drive though, and I'm sure he would..
The other thing about Spa is, that it was here where BADoer had a terrible accident 17 years ago. I'm sure that's not going to help either.
From Autosport's interview... "For me Monza is special. It is my home track and I have the lap record there in Formula 1. And like Mugello and Fiorano, it is the track that I have spent the most time in my life. For sure in Monza I will have the big step that everybody is waiting for." WHAT lap record??? Is this another "dream"?
That's the problem that i have with the guy, I mean every declaration he does makes me think he is delusional Always happy, and "I did a great job" .......
