Pretty cool. I wish I had gone with the magnaflow solution right from the start. You'll love the way it sounds. I gotta say the metallic farting noise does get old after a while.

We kind of got into this on Russ's thread...but doesn't the exhaust meet head on in the muffler?

Hank, that Magnaflow is similar to my Flowmaster I fabbed up, it is a true dual chamber isolated muffler, very low backpressure (early GM Trans AM / Z28 replacement, good to 500hp+ flow) mine is LOUD above 4000rpm.

    Nice work BTW.

Cool. Do you have a flow drawing?

Hank - That muffler is not a pure absorptive flow through like mine, but uses chambers (i.e. you can't roll a ball through it). Just a different way to muffle.

    We need sound clips! :)

I saw the first one in the old threads and a copy made by a local artiste, with heat shield and twin tips. My wife wears ear plugs on trips. During my last track day, a guy came up to me and said the car really sounded great at speed, (loud !!) but good :)
I will see if i can make a sound clip this afternoon, from the track video.
Cost for build and install was about $650.

    regards, chris

I would take one too, but keep in mind that I have the two cat set up in the 83, so since I have seen two different input pipe setups to the can, which am I going to need? (Don't have the car in my hands yet)...

local shop has done this on a 77 gtb, and my 84 gtb Qv. both systems were under $500.00 each, parts and labor. there are threads with pics.

    Magnaflow sounds great.

i have no use for the $3-4k highbrow mufflers some here seem to think are " the standard" for Ferrari's.

    just drive the damn car!
