Craig, hope you are feeling better soon. Keep us posted... Dean, if you need an extra set of hands to help on the 456... just let me know.
The meds are kicking in. Felt a lot better today. Should be good for our Saturday road tour. Sure is a good thing I don't have Obamacare. They would have probably just put me out of my misery at my age.
To those who went last Sun the 23rd, any new faces show up? Sent some invitations to a few 996'ers, 08 or 09 M3 sedan, burgundy Pagoda and a few others. Weather may have been a deterrent. Was unable to attend myself. Motorcycle is waiting for more parts to convert from track to street, and didn't want to drive the work van. Soon hopefully, you all seem to be a really great group of people.
Don't recall any 996's or M3's. A Boxter came by but I believe he just happened to notice us while absorbing caffine.
This is good. I'm going to check it out. I've been to some Boston meets, but there are few ferrari's that show up.
Please say it ain't so, what I'm seeing for the weekend forecast. Why is mother nature putting the screws to us? Sunny and dry all week with showers and T-storms Sat and Sun?
Frank, its an evil game she is playing with us. I am picking up the TR this week (finally after 9 weeks in the shop) and was excited about the Sat drive but weather is not looking good... but lets hope for the best... the weather man is lucky if he can get the current day forecast right, much less five days out. Craig, glad to hear you are feeling better. I got a good laugh out of the Obamacare comment... how true it is.
The way the weather has been this year, I would not be surprised if the forecast called for icebergs and firestorms.
Thanks for the offers of help - I was able to get the car together today (that intake manifold is not fun) and my mysterious power problem has disappeared as well...
Just got sonny boys hockey schedule. There's a few Sunday games most of which are mid afternoon and some out of state. It will NOT affect the AVF weekend but may impact my Ferrari schedule otherwise. I expect most will be just me leaving early but I may miss a few. I'm betting the few I will have to miss will be perfect weather. As an interesting side bar, there are 2 Saturday games at the Boch center in Dedham Mass. He will be playing the Boch Blazers. Yeah, Boch, as in Ferrari of New England amungst a few other...hobbies. Didn't know he was in to Hockey. Lane
Lane, I'm glad to hear that hockey won't get in the way of your planned trip to AVF. A party is just NOT a party without Saint B. in attendance !!! - Ed -
It looks like Mother Nature and Tropical Storm Danny are just not going to cooperate for tomorrow's gathering. We will reschedule for Saturday, September 5th. I realize that is Memorial Day weekend and some may have family plans or may be out of town, etc. I plan on being here, so it works for me. Please let me know if you will not be able to make it on the 5th. If it looks like the 5th is a problem for too many people that wantd to join us, we can always reschedule for a different Saturday in September.
Damn weather! Next wknd there's another car conflict, Lime Rock Rolex vintage weekend. To me that's the best event of the year, I love seeing old pre-war Alfa's on track (first cars raced by Scuderia Ferrari).
Oops, forgot about that one. The following weekend is our trip to AVF, so rather than double up that weekend, how does September 19th strike everyone?
Hey guys, remember me? I came that time in the WRX, following Craig. The weather should shape up for tomorrow and I would love to go. I still have the Subaru but I will be taking the bike if I am going. Is it still on for tomorrow? The radar looks good. When should I meet you guys at the bank?
