New Mondial 3.2 Cab owner

Hi Folks,

New owner here. I guess I can say that since payment has been made, but I haven't received it yet. It will be shipped from LA to Toronto soon. I have already been the beneficiary of very gracious help of FerrariChat members Brettski and Srslusso.

Big time newbie here. I'm looking forward to learning a lot about these cars in the future.

For now, it's off to the Canada thread to find a good shipper that ships into Canada...

Congradulations on your purchase. I'm presently 3 days away ( its on the road in the right direction, this time) from getting delivery of my Mondial purchased from Boulder Co. and being shipped to Ma. The transport has been arranged through Western (out of Denver) in multicar enclosed truck. Its too early for me to give them a grade, but I can tell you its been an experience as last minute changes in their schedule make for changes in the ETA. Hopefully I can give this forum more information when I receive the car. Hope you have more patience than I have shown as its taken about 3 weeks from the start.

 

I placed the order with FChat-sponsor Intercity Lines today. Great price into Buffalo for an enclosed truck. Jim at Intercity was very helpful in providing an address in Buffalo that they've worked with where I can get the car shipped to. They don't ship into Canada, but crossing the border would have just about doubled the price with other carriers so it wasn't worth it.

They'll move my car after they finish with Pebble. If they're good enough for those cars, they're good enough for me too!

Hi y'all. Finally took possession of a beutiful Mondial T purchased from John Feeney of Boulder CO. Both John and Dave Helms from Scuderia whose advise was invaluable are great guys to deal with. I've enclosed a couple of pictures (including the proverbial toasting with a fellow Fdriver) Its everything you said John. I only hope I can give it the loving care you have shown the Mondi, during your "watch" I want to also mention to potential buyers or sellers that the transport co. Western out of Denver, did a marvelous job of keeping me current to its whereabouts as well being courteous even when I was getting a bit overanxious.

Shame on me for not congratulating and welcoming Steve. That said, I did know this wasn't John's thread, but was simply responding to his post here.

 

Thanks Ken and Michael and all. John's T Cab is beautiful. I'm looking forward to taking some pictures of mine being unloaded, hopefully on Wednesday. The wait is killing me.....

Yeah, it went great Ken, thanks for asking. It arrived in Buffalo a couple weeks ago and I picked it on a trailer rented from Uhaul in Buffalo, brought it across the border, got a trip permit on the Ontario side and drove it home from Fort Erie. I took it up to Gran Turismo last Friday for some service (timing belts, tensioner bearings, water pump rebuild, ignition wires and assorted other little niggling things, better to be safe than sorry) and I already miss it sooooooooooooo much!!!!! For a week, it was so incredible to be able to open the door to the garage and see a gorgeous red Ferrari sitting in MY garage!! I'll post some pics when I get it home, washed and waxed.
