'73 Oulton Park lap. Frank sharing technique with his usual generosity. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5EgZYIB2qk
My only real experience with Frank was in 1977 when he was giving me an advanced driving lesson in my 246GT at Calder. That was the day I learnt that I'm not a good driver, and the day I learnt that it's humbling to be overtaken by a girl driving a 180B. He was terrific.
Years ago AT Calder a certain Lola F5000 owner the week before had = the lap record, this day he was off the pace, asked Frank what he thought "RHR shocker is f...ed" sure enough it was, that was from just looking at it go around a track.
I,ve just remembered an interesting unintentional faux pas made by Black Jack in his recent ABC Aussie story. His parting shot was:I know how to beat them(his rivals)I,m going to out live the bastards.Woops!!
sad news a good bloke, dont make em like him anymore had the pleasure of meeting him with Ken Tyrell in the UK
