So, how/where do you park your Ferrari in the parking lot? Do you park in the way back of the lot, valet, take up two spaces? Sorry if this topic is a repost...
Yes, it's a repost. Don't take two spaces. People will think you're an ass. I park in the widest space I can find, hopefully and end space.
Sorry. I did a search, but all of the results that were similar to this thread were old threads... --Grant
When you take up two spaces you are asking to get keyed. I like to find (when possible) a spot on the end of a row and then position the car as far as possible from the next space.

I usually park in the rear of the lot and never fails somebody will always park beside me even if there are 50 spots closer....
Yeah, new guys can't be expected to use the search feature. No other BBS in the world has a search function.
I take the opposite approach in the parking garage: There are a couple of spots where two 2' x 2' concrete pillars are separated by a narrow five foot opening. Funny how, every day, the only cars that park in those spots are performance machines: my 328, a NSX, a high end SLR, etc. (It's 9:00 -- do you know where your corners are? ) You almost never see a Prius or a "Smart" or an econobox trying to maneuver between those posts.
Who parks? I just leave my garage .. drive around ... and return to my garage. No harm, no foul. Parking is what you do with your other car.
This exactly what I do, and when there isn't an end spot then I park in the back of the lot as far away from other cars as possible. I agree that "sport-parking" (taking up 2 spots) is asking for trouble, in one of my precvious sports cars I did that once and found an ice cream cone melted all over the hood and side..not as bad as a scratch, but you get the hint
I don't let valet get their hands on my car. I tell them I'm having clutch problems, tip them, and park it myself. Last time the guy actually said he could tell that the clutch was going. There is nothing wrong with it.
Now that's comedy! Go thou and do likewise, you've earned it. I know a guy who leaves notes under the wiper when he sees something like that. "Meet me here at 5:00 for a PARKING LESSON."
I've seen a couple of these under people's wipers. I keep a couple printed out in my console for when the right opportunity arises. http://youparklikean*******.com/notices/notice_1.pdf http://youparklikean*******.com/
