Why not wait until the 25th anniversary?

We could form a committee at this 1st one to organize a spectacular 25th event. Hotels, receptions, sponsors, etc. I nominate Jas to lead us in this newly founded USA F40 group. Do I hear a second?

Thanks Mike! Well I believe there are 11 confirmed at this point in time. So if 4 more of those say yea and if Jas accepts of course, we have our leader. Let's hear it boys.

Seems like Jas would be an excellent choice to lead. :)

Well, considering the high regard I hold for those nominating and supporting, I cannot refuse...I will do my very best to help effect a great gathering of friends and enthusiasts. Dan, this is your baby man, great idea and lets make it happen.

Open suggestions are welcome here, its a democracy :)

Harry brings up a good point...do you guys wish to coordinate lodging/events for next year other than the meeting/display point, with an eye to organizing the 25th meet then ? Or do you want to organize central lodging/drive/dinner/possible track gathering for 2010 ?

just wanted to quote this before jas changes his mind!

I just love nominating other people to do all the work ;):D:D:D

    Seriously, well deserved and qualified.

2010 is my preference. So we can fine tune 2015 of course ;) providing my car is running

Well, considering those that have already committed next years event will surely lead to a repeat in 2015.

I'll make every effort to get at least one more F40 there :) One northern mid-west truck shipping out could be an encouraging argument ;)

Happy to cast my vote for you Jas. Let me know if there's anything I can do. I have two other friends with F40s that are not Fchatters but are both annual Monterey attendees. I'm sure I can convince them to bring their cars as well. :)

This has the makings of an awesome event, will start saving with a view of attending, seeing so many F40's in one place will indeed be a very special event. Oneday I will have a F40....

    Great!

This was a super idea by DM1-I'm glad Jas agreed to lead-no hidden agenda, no nonsense and a great go-to guy that'll be open to all suggestions I'm sure. Otherwise I wouldn't of suggested him. Looking fwd to seeing old friends and making new ones.

You could also trailer it to my house, fly into Reno and drive down with me. Its 300 miles round trip, mainly canyon back roads, with lots of new pavement. guaranteed fun. 2 F40s screaming down hiway 70 would be insane

edit: Its actually 300 miles each way. I was confusing the mileage with a trip to Infineon; either way it still be a blast
