I know everyone is going to find this issue thrilling :). Over the last couple of years I have gone through my car with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything is working/functioning as intended and the car is 99.9% so I have nothing to complain about. Here's the .1%, ('96 F355 Spider), the dome light stays on in the "auto" position instead of turning off after 10-15 seconds of the doors closing... has anyone had this problem, can anyone tell me where the relay that controls this is located?

Did you know this switch is a rocker switch where the whole light is the switch? It took me a couple years and a night with the switch on all night to realize that. :)

Yes, thanks - I read that it's a 3 position rocker switch in the owners manual, it works as intended except in the auto off position where it will just stay on....

It is a specialist relay that times and dims the light after 40 or so seconds of the door switch opening (closed door) from a closed (open door) position.

It costs some $300 from Ferrari... I made my own using a radioshack project, the size of a deck of cards and hidden under the dash. It turns the light off after 40 seconds with no dimming effect, but then again cost me a mere $15...

Don't confuse your Mondial with a F355. Quite different.
