I was looking at another thread, and finally saw a clear picture of a 348 interior. I have to say, the gauge clusters and overall layout just says G-A-Y to me. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

But, it looks like Ferrari ran over to Radioshack to get a couple of the parts.

I remember Enzo saying that he wouldn't allow the car to be built with Ferrari parts, because it was such a G-A-Y design, and so it looks like the marketing people did an end run around the old man and sourced some major components from marginal electronics suppliers.

Well, its a fun history. The fact that 348's are owned 95% by Gay people (not that there is anything wrong with that --disclaimer) and 5% by BI's (just not sure yet) means that the car really seems to command that fringe appeal...

That's OK. Because some other 355 vs 348 thread will show up shortly. And, the inescapable fact will come out again about 348's. Give us a G, and an A, and a Y!

I think your wife's friends brothers mothers husbands sister was smoking crack and totally got the story ****ed up. If you actually know the Ferrari history of Enzo the man the car that holds his famous name(the Enzo) the only car that was allowed to be the test for this ultimate super car the almighty Enzo was non other than the very manly 348 modified with the 12cylinder power plant (true story). Chosen over the very very girly 355(not so sure about this story though lol)

So tell your wife's friends brothers mothers husbands sister to

    STOP SMOKIN CRACK:D:D:D:D:D:D

Another interesting thing my wife's friends brothers mothers husbands sister said was that when they designed the 355 they decided to make it very manly by giving it a high revving powerful engine driven with two timing belts.

This was in sharp contrast to the earlier very effeminate 348 which only had one mousy belt driving the timing gear and various other accessories. Enzo ordered the car to have only one belt as punishment to the engineers for creating such an unsightly monstrosity. The factory also felt that the average G-A-Y owner would hardly be pressing down on the accelerator and that one belt would be enough.

Enzo is known to channel from beyond into F-Chat. And he says, 348's aren't Ferrari's and that anyone that owns one should have a PrIus to gather parts to repair it...

    Not my words, Enzo's...

Hey, I think 348's are OK, except for the 80's strakes and the one fanbelt errr timing belt, and the 80's brown weird interior parts, but it looks OK from certain G-A-Y angles... ;)

PS - The 355 really should have its own forum, the performance, the looks, the cache, the amazing indescribable elements screams for its own forum: Ferrari the 355 infiniaterminator!

Your rear wheels are mounted in a backward direction. Your front wheels are correct. Your rear wheels need to be switched. The leading edge of the spoke of the wheel is to go in the forward direction. Yours is going in the reverse direction. ;)

Nice pics! Welcome to F-Chat! :)

No problem friend, I will explain and show you pics of what I mean. :):)

Both of your back wheels, need to be swapped from side to side. Take them both off and swap them. An easy job you can do yourself at home. :):)

I have circled the area in white that we are talking about on your car. The rear wheels are on backwards. :):)

There is also a pic of my car to show you how ALL wheels should look. They are circled in white also, notice which way the spokes are facing on my car? That is the correct way. :):)

You have a beautiful car. Enjoy! :):)

If you have uni-directional tires, make sure to swap the tires on the rims too...

you have much reason, I had not installed it because I bought the car last December and I've never removed the tires, I just looked at the direction of tires and they are directional, therefore, the error has been the workshop that installed tires with the previous owner. now I need to remove tires from the rims and change the rims side only, no tires.

finally my car had a fault, hahah, but I think it's not very important, however, I always had a doubt about my LSD, somebody understand about LSD to I can check it?

thank you very much for this detail!!!

Personally, I would never purchase a 355 and I always advise people not to get one either.

Most don't have anywhere near the factory figure of 380bhp.

They are more likely to the engine break than any other Ferrari. As any specialist which engine they've rebuilt the most and it will be a 355.

They used 5 valves per cylinder. If it was so good, why did they go back to 4 valves.

The 355 spider roof causes a lot of probelms and is expensive to fix.

Most 355's have leak down and cylinder wear problems.

.....and the list goes on and on and on

In summary, buy a 355 and you'll want to get rid of it fast. Just look at how many there are for sale compared to 348's.

8000+ Ferrari 348's were built. Wikipedia review:
The car has been criticized for twitchy handling when driven with mismatched tires (some old, some new). When tested by Car and Driver magazine versus the Acura NSX, it was found to be very easy to spin out around some turns when all four tires were not identical in model and age. Its "break away" characteristic was then abrupt and difficult to catch once rear traction was lost.

    11000+ Ferrari 355's built. Review:
The Ferrari 355 is the best sounding of all Ferrari's and has timeless styling and excellent handling characteristics.

There are more 355's than 348's which is why you see more for sale. Plus there have probably been more 348's scrapped/wrecked than the 355 due to the 348's age and poor handling especially when drive by GIRLY men...

    ANALYSIS: Winner 355!
