these are not the wheels used in the launch pics. these must be the smaller, standard wheels (19's?) and the optional wheels are on 20's.

Are you sure its rev related, maybe it depends on how you push the pedal, full throttle full open , at lower throttle only one

the vented wheels look to have a polished sheen on them. My 430 standard wheels had a paint finish I thought was rough...just a light layer of brake dust left them looking dull. Hope the new 458 has better finished wheels..

Will someone please photoshop the front area of the 458 Italia where the "cavalino rampante " is in red or yellow color ( depending of the color of the car on the picture)
    Thank you

Why, thanks again! Very much appreciated!

I knew you'd finally agree with me that the Italia is a terrific design.

Wow! This has got to be the most amazing car on the planet now. Lamborghini might as well just close up shop now. I'm stunned. Big thumbs up to Ferrari, first the California now this new 458. Congrats!!

At times like this, when some really awe inspiring design is revealed and some guys immediately (without even seeing it personally) pronounce it "ugly",I start to wonder about their state of mind....

Didn't you see the video's on the 458 Italia website? ;)

When Paolo Pininfarina talks about the exhausts (±1:45) he actually says: "... that is containing 2 exhaust pipes and a center pipe."

Telling it that way is just saying the middle one is a fake in my opinion.

I'd say telling it that way is just bad English of an Italian. :D

Seriously, I think the exhaust uses the center pipe only when driving at low revs and small throttle opening and all three will open with high revs and/or large throttle opening (threrefore the two valves on the outer two pipes).
