For those who don't know Danny Z, he loves to sound that italian horn. Here he and his Dino trail Masa Y who swept the V8 category for first place in his gorgeous 328 (ex Dave handa) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_8f2RHwP0o&fmt-18 Danny's roof is unique but pure 1970's! tx, the roof panel is painted red. i went to a sign company with the design and they scanned it onto a vinyl and applied it to the roof , so the checks are black and somehow they skinned the vinyl from the red sections . actually you can feel the ridges of the black ,it is fairly thick. by the way this was an extra top , i also have the original , however was surprised that this top fit with no problems. dz
jim, guess i'm old school , have had the car since 1980, back then i would think of the talbots as an upgrade . who thought dino owners would become so fanatical over originality ! (not to mention tool kits and manuals ). however i did keep the original mirror. reminds me of a conversation with sid the service tech at grand prix motors when i first got the car and we were discussing the frailities of these cars and he said "they did not expect these cars to last this long ". years later in a weary tone sid said to me " dan these cars will outlive us ." dz
After having one of my Dinos stripped to the metal about nine years ago, my bodyman said to me: "This car will outlive you and me!" I am now 61, he is almost 53, and he's probably right! Fred
Fred and Dz - I can remember replacing my mirrors with Talbots in 1978 when I purchased my first Dino. I thougth it an upgrade. I kept the old mirrors. I got the idea when visiting a Ferrari showroom in Boston in 1974...all of the Dinos had Talbots. Jim S.
In my opinion, the Talbots are far better looking than the flatter mirrors seen on many Dinos and Daytonas. Both of my cars have the flat mirrors, but I prefer the look of the Talbots. The flat mirrors really date the cars, I think. Fred
