Today was a good day

How was my day, you ask:

Did I wake up to a wife doubled over with apparent flu symptoms--Why yes!

Did you throw your back out and barely be able to get out of bed--How did you know?

Did you get to the office after a long weekend and find yourself wishing you could throw a wicked fastball instead of a good cross-examination? Well of course,

And as you limped your sorry A$$ to the car, did you almost vomit as your realized that in addition to throwing your back out, you have just inherited your wife's flu symptoms?...Am I making this too predictable?

Well, anyway, as I pulled up to the house, I pressed the wrong garage door button.

This is what I saw... And as I did, from the deep caverns of my little mind, a thumping bass began to come to life. Above the drone I heard the immortal poet, Ice Cube...

AWWW YAAA....

"Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.
I got to say it was a good day"

You have a little peace of mind in the garage. The world has gone to hell but you still have a Ferrari! I know the feeling....

 

I went out to the garage today, needing to do some errands, and looked at the cars there. I asked myself...."Hmm, which Ferrari should I take?" That never sucks.

(This is particularly funny to people who know me well because rarely are both of them functioning at the same time. At the moment, they are.)

When my girls ask "are we taking the red or the black one out" I just shake my head.

And I'm quite sure that if you just took it for a little spin through the hills all the problems in the world would be solved! Works for me, along with red wine and chocolate for the flu symptoms.

 

Sounds like a rough day - sorry to hear it.

Somebody always has it worse however so don't feel too bad. An f-car owner I know of was driving his 308 when he smelled a burning smell and looked in the back window to see flames coming out the louvers. He pulls over, pops the trunk release, jumps out and opens the lid just about lighting his hair on fire in the process. Luckily he has a fire extinguisher in the cabin but as the door closes behind him the fire shorts out the alarm system and locks the after market electric door locks so no go. The heat accumulating in the engine bay does something to the weak grip the hand brake has on the rear calipers and the car starts to roll down the increasingly steep hill he stopped on. He has a bad back so he can't do a whole lot to stop it and it rolls on down the hill (still on fire) and heads for the intersection. The car shoots into the intersection and t-bones an old truck, sending it off the road and into a telephone pole. The truck happens to be his father in law's recently restored 50s pickup with his mother in law driving who suffers a concusion and two broken ribs. When the f-car owner finally gets home after all this mess he arrives home to find a long hand written note from his wife saying she is leaving him for another man.

Now that's a really, really bad day.

 

Joe I know the feeling...of being snapped to a better place when I open the garage door and see the Mondial waiting. Of course, the feeling is even better when the car is painted red.
