What garden variety space-saver spare can I use for my 77 308? The original full size wheel is too heavy and unwieldy for my old injured back. I know that some Volvo bolt patterns are exactly the same as the Ferrari, but I don't know about offset and clearance. Anyone among you use a modern non Fcar spare who can send some advice??

    Chris,

    I am sorry.... (sniff)
I like the wheel too, it looks so good in my bonnett, , , , but the current state of My personal echonomy has made me sell some of my trophies,,,, not my toys.
    (i.e. Obomanomics.)
    ;)

    I have a Volvo spare 5 X 108 ,, , cost me $ 45.00 to complete a mod for Hub-Centric correctness.
I will have to use it for now.

OK smarties with your tiny spare. What will you do with your flat 16" wheel that you remove from the car? Leave it beside the road or place it in the passenger seat and bungee the door which won't close with the tire sitting there. Maybe strap it to the bonnet?

Yes, I was wondering about that also. And what if he has a passenger? Of course, if he had a Mondial.....

What's the problem with the 16" spare I have one in the 308 it fits fine. I will try and fit my 18" wheel looks like there might be room. Just make sure you have the correct bolts with it.

Bolt patterns equal to Ferrari (5 x 108):
    Jaguar S-type, X-type
    Citroen XM
    Ford Mondeo latest model
    Volvo S60, S80
    Alfa 166
Probably not the most popular models in the US
The central hole is always too small for the Ferrari (Ø67,1) so you need a spacer
    Also to correct the offset
    Bolts M14x1,5

Thank you, fdekeu, for your factual info. Specs--not speculation--which is exactly what I needed. Duly noted on a 3x5 card so I can now start hunting.
