I have a Doublestar AR-15. I only have a few hundred rounds. Can anyone tell me where to get the most inexpensive .223 ammo from? I want a thousand or few, if that is legal.

I've bought probably 20 thousand rounds off them in the past few years in everything from .223, .308, 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, and for my most recent toy - 10mm.

Their ammo is consistent, clean, and if buy their "Canned-Heat" stuff, it gets shipped in US military surplus ammo cans that are really useful as range bags or ammo carriers are just general storage boxes.

I couldn't be happier with their stuff.

If you want to support a fellow F-Chatter - check out AmmoMan (that's his username on F-Chat) ... he owns http://www.ammoman.com

He's actually got 10mm cheaper by a few bucks than GA-Arms and it's factory stuff (American Eagle FMJ) ... so I think my next purchase of 10mm will go to him.

In my opinion, don't buy anything with a steel case. As soon as I say that, fifty people will come back and say that they've put umpteen thousand rounds of Wolf (or some other crap) ammo through their guns for eight decades without a single problem. That may be true, but I've seen that garbage lock a gun up tighter than a frog's butt by jamming in the chamber.

Again, this is just my opinion. I refuse to put garbage ammo through quality firearms. It just doesn't make any sense.

    [shakes head and sighs]

It's your gun and your money, but I certainly wouldn't run that crap through any firearm that I cared about.

I don't know how their stock is right now but ammunitiontogo.com is a good site too.
