All of a sudden my Firefox gives me the pinwheel of death within 5 seconds of start up.

I havent been to any sites or done anything out of the ordinary.

Its limited to Firefox as everything else is working fine...Im now on Safari.

So anyone have any ideas how to fix Firefox and save all my bookmarks ?

    Turn off
Turn On, as soon as the gray screen appears hold down at the same time command option P and R. Hold until screen goes blank then when you hear the Apple start up sound twice take your fingers off the keys and let it boot up.

If that doesn't work turn back off and take the battery out. Unplug from wall and hold down the power button for 7 seconds. Reinstall battery and plug back in. Power up.

If that still doesn't work turn off and back on. As soon as the gray screen appears hold down shift key until it comes on saying "safe boot". Enter password and name.

If none of these work go see one of the geniuses at the Apple store.........

I hope one of these works for you. My son J.J. is looking over my shoulder telling me these fixes right now. His Macbook is at the Apple store right now.............Their online tech support told him they had no idea what is going on with his and it is only one month old.

upgrade the FireFox, depending on version of Firefox you have there are some major "glitches" with the compatibility of the MAC OS/Internet. Remember FireFox is a dumbed down version of Netscape and Netscape was designed for PC/Windows.

I have had to down grade, upgrade, and remove firefox, especially when I update the software for the computer, just depends on what "they" (a relative term) have changed in either firefox or the MAC OS.

Typing this from my macbook, which is sitting on the desk next to iMac which is next to my Mac Pro...all of which are a top of my PC, I have problems, hehehe.

You Know, OmniWeb is now free for users, it has its perks and its downfalls but so does Firefox. I run that when I can get nothing to work, its like my safety net for internet needs.
