He drives himself in a Toy Prado,we need 4wds up here. That road Pap showed is THE only road that goes from Townsville to Mt Isa,off it are 2 roads that connect to Tablelands(us),the first starts at Charters Towers and ends at Mt Garnet. That road carries the semi,s,Bdoubles and Triples:it is generally 1 vehicle wide except for most crests and curves. If you meet an oncoming vehicle you get right off the bitumen if it,s a truck of any sort, same if a caravan, for cars 2 wheels in the dirt is usually OK.The drop off can vary from good(couple of inches) to crook(up to 1 FOOT)depending on the time of year. The second road north starts at Hughenden and is dirt/bulldust for it,s length, untill the Oasis (smallest bar in Aussie)where it meets the above road. The nomads use this road, many flip their caravans, off road trailers etc due to having little or no expierence at off road/bulldust conditions.
I would LOVE to stay and play with you chaps, but I am off to take the Ferrari around my brothers place to vacuum/clean inside of it. We have the Fathers Day Show and Shine here tomorrow and I was *politely* asked to enter my Ferrari in it again. As I have the last 4 years. I am going to try that Coacholine stuff on the seats and door trims today also. Will take before and after pics. Shall be a fun exercise. I bought that Coacholine tub over 8 months ago. It has probably gone all hard from sitting around. Will post pics here later on. If its worthwhile, of course. Mods, ban me for a few hours if you like? I will be back around 5pm.
Some pics of my car from 7am this morning at the Fathers Day Car Show. Hope all you Dad's out there are having a wonderful day today. They are crap pics due to the sunlight, but I may get some better ones later on when I go back to pick her up. I didnt take anymore pics but I did take home a trophey today. I was the ONLY Euro car there, so I think they just handed it to me at the end of the day. Those trophies have lost all meaning, the new one can go in the pile with the others. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I thought of you when I saw this plate.......If the numbers were "348", I would of had to make her an offer for the plates just to send em to ya! ALL THE BEST! Ape Image Unavailable, Please Login
When it comes time to trade up to the 458, wont the trophies have more meaning as a concourse winner, which should improve the value?
Cheers mate! Cheers mate! Thanks Ape! That would have been cool! Lol! You are exactly right! I will sell the 348 as a "multiple trophey" winner! Gotta be worth an extra $10K that, which takes the value of them to at least $40K.
Congrats on the trophy Pap. Winners are grinners. You are setting a high 348 benchmark for me to keep up with.
GG's 4th b'day today! The little tacker is getting big and before long, he will be asking to take Uncle Pap's Ferrari to his High School Formal! He said he wants to be a truck driver when he grows up! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
