I think I know who it is. He's a great fellow who's on fchat too. Used to have/has a yellow Modena. Faisal? Guy was always busy studying You guys gotta be carefull with the plates. Not sure what is the point of posting them.
I don't think its "Faisal".....But here is a pick of the Yellow Scud parked at my friends house a few weeks back. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cool. You could be right. I think I remember Faisal saying he was getting a scub (I think) and he does/did go to U of T. So thats why I said that.
I saw the owner, or at least who I think was the owner. My friend and I were walking around the car oggling it, and there was a guy standing by the car (youngish Caucasian guy, couldn't have been much older than me), talking on his phone. At first we thought he was an admirer but as we were walking off he leaned on the 430. Doubt anyone but the owner would do that... If it was the owner, then he would have definitely overheard me say "Can't wait to tell the guys on Ferrari Chat about this!" http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/3971/img2005p.jpg
Doing work at the Hyatt this week and saw two R8's in the underground valet parking area. One was the blue one that was pic'd on the last page and a red one.
I'm not 100% sure "Faisal" is the username of the owner......But is a 'friend of a friend' and lives in Woodbridge, his father also has a few other Ferrari's IIRC ; 599, 360 Spyder etc. Hopefully the car is safe in the underground parking lot!
Just went down to the garage to grab my iPod from the 2010 750Li I've been driving around, and the Scuderia's gone!
That's not Faisal's. Seen that exact Scud several times, and it belongs to a "Caucasian" male seeing as he's always driving it. Speaking of Fais, he's completely disappeared along with Steve-O and trackpants-Rick in the past few yrs!
the panoz esperante was parked at the top floor of a parking garage in yorkville. I saw it when I came out of the ET Canada party. I had never seen one before
Basically it's one of very very few cars originally sold in Canada. If not THE only one. That car is very fast and far from stock. Not my thing. I rep'd Panoz at the auto show a few years ago and I couldnt sell one if it would save my life. It's a ford parts bin car, hand made with some decent chassis design and an ugly body. Not to mention overpriced. They don't make them anymore. They don't make any model anymore I don't think. But I'll admit they sound nice and are pretty impressive on the track which is where Mr. Panoz's passion is anyway.
I've seen this Panoz around Toronto. It gets looks, but the kind of looks and comments such as "WTF is that", "Its weird looking", "The owner did a nice job building this kit car"...etc How much did they cost MSRP?
SLR McLaren in my lowly neighborhood in Mississauga, Ontario! Guy was checking his mail, waved to me and made a quick u-turn and took off. Only managed to snap this picture... apologies for iPhone quality!
This is a GTLM which was already the top model $160K+ iirc. Then it was immeadiately sent off to the factory for some serious factory mods. But this can pull it off
Speaking of weird places .. I saw a yellow 360 parked in a semi/town house driveway, some morning this week (while lost in a sub division fighting school traffic). It was not even parked in the real driveway but the part by the sidewalk half hanging over! I thought it must be a booty call gone bad, passed out, or something
Blue Murcielago on Mississauga Rd Black M6 parked beside a BMW 7-series that isn't too pleased with me for smacking a gigantic pothole. The entire gauge cluster froze.
I feel bad for anyone that owns a 7-series out of warranty, the i-drive system is $14,000 to replace and without it you can't really do anything!
The new redesigned F01 7-series is a vast improvement over the E65, which, in my opinion, was a large turd. I'd still pick an S-Class every day of the week. Fortunately, tonight I'll be picking up a new car. Not sure yet what it is.
totally disagree, I have yet to drive the new S-class I have however driven both the "old" 7 and S series cars and after been giving a choice of what I wanted to drive for a few months I promptly opted for the 7 series, it was a great driving car with every possible option I could ever want...great car! A friend just bought a black/tan or black/black can't remember which with 120km's for $8000!!! hell for $8000(through a dealer friend) that is an amazing car to buy and it will always be worth $8000 i.m.o. CHEERS!
I have an 06 7series.. still with factory warranty.. I love the car in every way .. when my 360 was in for service I had the use of an 08 S-class ... It didn't compare IMHO.. to be fair tho ..it was a very stock S-class.. with few upgrades.. but it just felt cheap for a MB.
still aren't the 08's the new body style? which in-turn should mean new interior/technology? wow I can't believe the old 7 series is still beating out the "s" series cars to some people...
$8G's? What year was this? Sorry to always resort to classic cars. But to me the 1995-2001 7 series are still built like tanks and look great. Especially when they are optionned out with the individual package etc. But even the next gen cars are great.
If you're comparing the E38 7-series (not sure about years, 96-01?) to the W140 S-Class (92-98?), I'd have to agree with you. However, if you compare the E65 (2002-2009) 7-series to the W220 S-Class (1999-2006), you're wrong. There are no ifs, buts, or maybes about it, haha! The E65 7-series (2002-2009)was an epic failure. The F01 7-series is a nice car, which is the new 2010 body style. However, it's still beaten out by the W221 S-Class in every dynamic.
