I recently bought a gorgeous 98 Rossa Barchetta/Tan 550 with my father (split all costs) who lives in Calif. I live in Denver and Dad has never even made it here to see the car. Unfortunately, his financial situation requires that we sell the car. It is fully maintained and sorted - a great looking and driving car. Please see my ad here:

    Thanks for looking,
    Grant

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the sale.

But surely your dad should drive it before it goes?

    Sorry to hear it.
That price is disappointing to see.
Guess my 2000 with 37K miles is worth about 25 bucks and a cup of coffee! :)

That's what I told him, but he said he'd rather not get attached to it...

    Beautiful color combo.
Can you post a few more pics of it here in this thread, e.g. the interior?

    I also own a 98 550. Great car.
Sorry to see you're selling it, but best of luck to you & your Dad.

Grant- Somebody is going to get a lot of car for not very much money. She is very pretty and in really great shape. Same mileage as my 2004.

Good luck on the sale and hope your father wins the lottery so you do not have to sell her.

Thanks, Terry! You have been one of the reasons I've enjoyed my brief Ferrari ownership experience as much as I have!

Sorry about your bad luck. That is a gorgeous car, and someone is going to be very lucky to have it.

I can understand why your dad doesn't want to drive it, I drove one once and didn't want that ride to end.

Good luck with the sale! I've driven that car a few times over the years and recall when we sold that 550 to the original owner. Whomever buys this car will get a well sorted Maranello at a great price!

She is coming to LA !! Grant it was a pleasure doing business with you. I looked quite a few cars and only two cars were in the running. Garrett in SF also has a beautiful example.

Remember to look us up in LA when you come in

One more thing. Ferrari of Denver was a real pleasure to deal with. They sold the car to the first owner and were very helpful with records, PPI and holding the car for the transport.

    Very professional

    Thanks

The best thing that can happen to a Ferrari is to go from one FChatter to another. In this case Grant to Dave.

Congratulations to both of you. If there is one thing I love, it is over-maintained, or, should I say, super-maintained, cars, and this one qualifies.

    Hey Dave
The advert is now gone so there is only the 1 photo on page 1 of this thread. In any case that 1 photo is enough to show a real nice car. I really like the dark red/dark tan combo. It suits the car. It looks like the long chase and wait were worth it. Great news.
    Cheers
    John

Wow. 550's are a hell of alot of car for the $. probably best value out there. Very nimble car given the weight and power.

John, Perhaps we need 550's for regular runs and C/4's when carbs are required. Only problem is that its gonna be tough to get me out of that comfortable 550
