Thank you, Emilio. It is also featured in the factory brochure of the Jarama GT.

The Jarama is an underrated car. I don't know why. Thankfully Olivier set up the Jarama registry, perhaps the interest in the Jarama will increase for that reason.

Well to be honest if we pay attention to last sales, the "good" Jarama have been sold for more than 50.000 euro, that's a trend...

Whats the story about the vents on the front fenders of your car?

    Aftermarket changes.

Today there are also vents in the front below the front bumper and the car received a new bonnet (similar to GTS) with a vent. I know that the second owner changed the bonnet, but I do not know whether it was the first or second owner that added the other vents. I am the third owner, and I know that the car should be restored to the original factory brochure standards.

50.000 Euros for such a brillant car, that still is underrated IMO. Or, let's say, it's a good deal.

    What do you think?

All Jarama owners were invited to make this modification as Ubaldo Sgarzi did explain me, most of them did it and some Jarama GT have been already restored in first configuration without these fender air vents.

Speaking about the Vintage Lamborghinis, the ones produced under Ferruccio's era are for me much more valuable. Over the Jarama product range, only 177 GTS + 150 GTS were produced = 327 overall, yes definitively they are underrated !!!
Jarama's agility is not due to its weight but to its extremely short wheelbase of 2380mm, that in addition to that particular V12 shared with the rest of models range makes it brilliant and fun to drive...for a fraction of its sister Miura...yes definitively underrated...

I fully agree. I remember that I thought, after a test drive of a Miura SV, that the Miura may be the more desirable machine for a short trip lasting 20 or 30 minutes, but in spite of that fact I was glad to own a Jarama and not a Miura although the latter is a great car.

+1, even after reading Oliviers post #282 i think it should be been brought back to the factory brochure standards at sometime in the future.

for instance #10002 has been already re-standarded without the fender air vents by Top Motors...

I agree that most of very first 80 Jarama GT produced should be brought back to original, because on the other side and unfortunately without any figures to demonstrate, I know that the last Jarama produced at the same time the GTS was already launched at Geneva 1971, were all of them fitted standard with the fender air scoop... is my english clear ?

10002 received the correct treatment. I saw it in July 2008 at Top Motors, but I do not find the photos I made and I do not remember whether the car still had the fender vents in 2008. It does not matter, now it is as it should be.

10108 too - please see the attached photo.

With your GTS, it is a little bit easier - a nice car you have.

so the brochure car and the owner's manual cover car are the same one? as Christian's jarama?

looks good in red (and i am not a fan of red lambos...;) )

Yes, 10006 is both the owner's manual and the brochure car.

Red is a very good colour for the Jarama. Many persons who said that they generally do not like red for a Lamborghini also say that they do like red for the Jarama, so you are not alone.

Do the vents serve a functional need or merely cosmetic?

Ohhhhhh yes...they are functional and it is not even enough to allow hot air going out, but it's better than nothing...for instance, I'm planning to make a specific racing front hood for my Islero Le Mans Racer, because it has no vents at all...
