More pics of the pool I designed for our new house. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks. Here are some better pics taken recently. The infinity edge sides are glass tiles made from recycled glass in Mexico, and they turn into almost a gold leaf reflection at sunset on the west side. Pool used pebble sheen, which is really nice but the darker blue resulted in a little higher water temps in summer here in Texas. So we went ahead and built the pool I was dreaming up in my last few posts on this thread. We decided to go ahead and re-do the whole back yard, since they would destroy 90% of it anyway while building the pool. Basically I designed the pool and had the pool guys build it, and I am doing everything else myself (sodding, landscaping, deck, fence, outdoor kitchen, etc etc). I don't have any car projects at the moment so all my "hobby" energy has been going towards the yard. Thanks to everyone for their input and ideas earlier in the thread. Many of the pools here were part of the inspiration for me. Side note: if you ever start to hate your real job, go lay sod, move a few tons of rocks, or haul about 10 yards of dirt on a 100+ degree day in the South. The pool: approx 16x26, 3-5.5 ft depth. Gunite/plaster with Pebbletec on the beach entry. LED pool light (awesome!), saltwater, heated, 4ft rock wall with a few waterfalls, a couple of underwater benches. Pictures taken in early July. Since then we have added more landscaping and a couple of palm trees, some small LED lights under the waterfalls and in the beach entry area, and started on the wood deck and pergola that will pick up where the concrete deck leaves off by the deep end. This is still very much a work-in-progress, so I will add pictures as things get done. Thanks for the compliments guys. It is a lot of fun seeing something you came up with, but pictured only in your head and on paper become real and take shape right in front of you. The dog is Matilda Moo. She likes the pool even more than we do, I think. She is definitely convinced that we built it just for her, I am certain about that!
No pics from construction but as shown in a magazine recently: http://www.chicagohomemag.com/Chicago-Home/March-April-2010/Greener-Acres/

That is one of the nicest homes I've seen. Not too large or small of a house and great attention to detail. Awesome job!
Ok guys, out with it. The hard part is done, I've got the pool. So how do I go about lining up one of these calendar shoots you speak of?
Not mine.. more of a family thing. I will see if can dig up some photos from some of the more 'interesting' photo shoots held here. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
