My wife and I are scheduled to arrive Singapore on FRI. the 25th. We will be checking in at the Royal @Queens Hotel and we will be there until the 28th (Mon)

I want to know if there's anything going on before and after the race like some kind of gathering, cars & coffee, or car show I can go to? Since it's my first time there I would not know my way around there. If ever we'll probably just stay around the hotel for three days if there's no other event to go to.

Anyway I was just hoping I can meet some of you Fchater while I'm there. Thanks.

    Mike

Went last year (from Hong Kong). Great atmosphere, but not really racing. Nowhere to overtake. Whole race based on pit stops and safety car (as we now see more clearly).
    Not going this year!!

Suggest you find things to do during the day to keep you occupied. Sitting round all day waiting until late evening for quals and race is a bit much, especially if you sit around in bars (drinking), then sit in stands (drinking) watching the support races (loved watching the Astons and Porsches). By the time of the main event you are completely spent....then have to find you way out of the masses all leaving at the same time....in heat and sweat.

Anyway, enjoy and dont let my comments put you off!!

    PAUL

Singapore is a great place, humid yes, but I love it there. I'll be there again in November, the best service I've ever encountered! :)

    was there last yr too.
the logistic getting to your seat is a nightmare. the surface where u have to walk on was not done paving. if u need to hit the bathroom, good luck.
hope they got everything sorted out this yr.
race is boring, u pay $1100, u see cars going by about 2 secs per lap, u rather get a hotel room near by with a balcony view of the track, u will see alot more.

I'll be there on Friday, also flying from HK on the Singapore Air A380. Haven't been to a F1 race in many years and I wanted to see what they look like under the lights.

Tickets were expensive I thought but what the heck...

Hi, I will be Sigapore GP too.

I heard Ferrari F1 machine (not sure which will be displayed for example F2008, 2007, or etc) will be displayed at Shell near Orchard, but not sure if that is true.

    Does someone know about this?

If that information is correct, would you please let me know the address where Ferrari F1 machine will be displayed.

    Thank you,

Agree. Its very much a PR thingy, to be seen at events like this and for networking purposes. I rather prefer to stay home chill out with quality company rather than crowd with the masses. Plus you actually get to see the whole bloody race too!
