for clarification, is it car 135905 or 136348 that has stories, or both? 136348 is the one at scottsdale right now.

Both those CS's are storied. Both are red w/ OEM stripe. 135905 has the rollbar installed. 136348 has yellow calipers.

 

Andrew, thanks for the link. I did read that post before, but was wondering if there was more detail on what was actually damaged and repaired.

Odd that it is for sale on e-bay as their dealership web site has it still marked sold today.

 

Yes, both accidents appeared to have been single car incidents.

 

That's odd. Likely due to the fact they haven't updated their site since they sold that CS the first time in August.

Just making it harder to sell my NO STORY car

Anyone recognize this VIN#? ZFFDU57A440134972 Red w/ rd/blk interior. 32K miles.

The extended warranty on that car expires on the 10th of December. I don't know who owns it now, but I know two of the previous owners; both nice guys. I have pictures of the car; does it still have black wheels? Good luck.

 

Was this car once owned by someone in Texas? I believe I recall seeing the same color scheme before, but a red CS with black wheels isn't necessarily uncommon.

Rob....thanks for the clarification. Surely it has been repaired properly and is a great car. As long as the buyer knows what he is getting then no foul. The problem becomes when someone thinks they are getting one thing and its not as "advertised". Stokpro has been relentless at getting as much "accurate" information as he possibly can from various sources and then following up with his own research on those sources. Hes just a CS fanatic!

 

roughly 1200 worldwide were built . only 3 of 119 uk cars were fly yellow . the lexan windows were europe spec only and very rare , i've seen 2 only in uk. your friend has a very rare car i think

 

they have very clever wording like all big companies regarding there buy back policy. Something to the effect that if you have found that the car has been in an accident and it was reported to the dmv and we missed it... only then are we liable to pay you... so if someone stuffs there car over a curb and gets the car outta there before the 5 0 show... then you are all good... that or if you can talk the cop outta citing you...

I agree with Kuzi. I'm sure except for some repairs the car is great but when does Carfax become irrelevant? It seems to be a false sense of security and it's too bad. I wonder if Carfax had to buy this particular car back if they would be a little more accurate from now on. I can think of a certain Enzo and now Bugatti (owned by same idiot) that won't hit their meters either.

It's a sad situation and I wonder how many 10's of 1000's of cars that are sold day to day that aren't hitting their radar either.

Just noticed this... "no known accidents", "no known bodywork". Puhhhhleeeeze!!! The car was returned because it was wrecked.
