Is it for sale?
Did they do any thing to the frame on the car? I have read about 400i's that had a frame that bolted to the undercarriage to stiffen it.
Yes, it's for sale. I want to buy it for myself, but I'm coming up a bit short. No, Straman didn't touch the frame or the chassis - the car doesn't need anything, it's really stiff. Driving it, it feels nimbler than a Maranello - I don't know if that's because there's no roof or what. But it feels fantastic.
I have not posted on here for ages, but that 456 has got me off the lazy button wow wow wow. Great price, great car - just wish it was in the UK. Amazing condition, just hope it really does keep the rain out! perfect for the hot sunny climates either way. And of course the UK We seem to have so many convertibles for a country where it rains most of the year. But a 456 Convertible would really stand out, looks nicer than the 550 "Barchetta?" Convertible IMHO. kindest regards Aamir
The car looks amazingly good, from any angle. In fact, it looks like it was born to be a convertible.
I agree it is beautiful with the top down. With the top up however, as someone mentioned, with the rear quarter glass, it is awkward. To me, it evokes the PT Cruiser Convertible. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The latch isn't ...latching. The car is currently undergoing a major - the hood latch on that side is on the list to be repaired/replaced. Barry, I tried that already. He said ...no.
Ferrari did register the design (Design # 2023594) at the IPO in London Here is the link to the bibliography page that has a few more drawings. http://www.ipo.gov.uk/rs-bin/RightSite/formexec?DMW_INPUTFORM=tpo/biblio&DMW_SEARCH_TEXT=2023594&PREVIOUS_FORM=BROWSE&PREVIOUS_SEARCH_FORM=NULL&BROWSER_TYPE=ie4 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Will the guys (straman) who shut do another? - I tried to contact them a while ago without sucess = anyone working for them/with them on here?
Beautiful car in great condition! I would buy it in a heartbeat but I don't live in US. Hope it'll go to a good home.
On the market again. No affiliation. Looks nice to me, wonder how it drives... Bill FL 1995 Ferrari 456 GT Cabriolet Serial Number 101250 - main page
I think it's absolutely stunning. Any angle with top up or down- especially down. Novi wheels are perfect- Would love to swap my SL63 for this-
Dean....I have the same wheels on my 575. They came with the car when I purchased it. I don't know the manufacturers name or model. Do you still have the 456? Thanks...Spaghetti.
It's a beautiful car especially with NF2, perfect if you have little kids...owner is a true car guy and a pretty good driver to boot!
And yes it is up for sale again, I received an email from Sheehan yesterday and it was for much less if anyone is intersted. $74,950 or best offer. Also listed on the link below that Konadog06 posted. Does anyone know if Staman is still in business? Would love to get a cut 550!
I drove it a few years ago; it handled great, and I was giddy to be in a manual, 12-cylinder, Ferrari convertible.
