With it still being this early in the season, not many teams have had a chance to really prove they deserve their ranking, anywhere on the list. I think Ole Miss will rebound and have a decent year but I never expected them to be ranked so highly already. Obviously they were over ranked but so are/were a lot of teams when they finally play/ed a decent opponent.

Been waiting for this weekend a while now, Bama opening up SEC play with the rest. Hopefully Bama continues to dominate now that the typical week 2 and 3 cupcakes are over with.

Well, if both Miami & Texas beat Oklahoma - all will be well in the world if you ask me! :D

(though, I'm not counting on both happening)

Even w/ Oklahoma's loss, I've been more impressed w/ them thus far than w/ Texas. Don't get me wrong, I want to see another national championship parade here in the capitol. But, I'm also fairly objective in what I see... considering I'm on their (Longhorn) sidelines during workouts, practice, scrimmages, and certain games. Unmotivated, undisciplined, and underachieving are words that come to mind. Hopefully, all that will change.

Congrats to the South Carolina players and fans! Snead looked pretty crappy last night, I'd put them no higher than about #18-20. The bad news is that I had a nightmare that Miami was losing to VT 7-3 with like 23 seconds left. Fortunately, I woke up.

Classic Spurrier, you know he wanted that one badly. Neither team looked great, but SC came out on top. I'm glad he's getting it turned around but I don't know if SC will ever be a top program, they just can't recruit the studs like the rest of the SEC.

I'm conceding this VT game right now. We have not looked so bad since the GT game last year. I hope we can stay in the top 25 somehow.

    TCU 14, Clemson 10 in a nailbiter.

Clemson scored first with field goal.
TCU intercepted and went to score a TD
Clemson scored TD with 33 seconds in half.

    No scoring in 3rd quarter.
TCU touchdown with 6;57 left in 4th.
Clemson moved to TCU 16 with under 2 minutes with first down. TCU held and got ball back.
    Clemson held TCU for punt.
Clemson began final drive on own 39 with 1:09 left and no time outs. TCU held on for the win.

2nd half was in hard straight down rain.........

You never knew how this was going to end until the final 2 seconds when TCU got the ball back on downs.

Spiller for Clemson played a great game with an injured toe. Over 120 yards rushing and 68 yards receiving against a very good defense. Only the 19th player to go over 100 yards rushing in Gary Pattersons 9 years as coach at TCU.

Had to listen to it and did not get to see it.......dang it.....

Go Frogs......3 and 0 Two wins against BCS teams..... hmmmmmmmmmm

Pretty bad night for North Texas. Middle Tennessee is killing us at our home opener, down 30-7 at halftime :(

Alabama could have had Star Jackson and the second string in the entire 4th Quarter if they had wanted. Refusing to kick a field goal from inside the 20 with more than 4 minutes still on the clock was classy, and made a powerful statement.

Texas and Florida played gimmes. Florida is relying on Tebow too much, even so. They are showing chinks in their armor.

Word from the Gators is Tebow will be ok, probably not even a concussion. We all hope.

Can't believe the U got handled like that. Tech schooled 'em.

We have a grand tradition building up at Miami. Lose one game every year with absolutely weak efforts on both sides of the ball.

I had hoped that the ACC would drop the up one week, down one week routine that we have played for the past two years. A 5-3 conference record gets you to the championship game.

What happened to Tebow? I'm surprised at how LSU keeps squeaking these wins out. They better step it up quick if they want to give florida a game.

As far as our loss goes, oh well, there is always next week!

"Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was taken to the UK Medical Center by ambulance after taking a shot to the head while being sacked in the third quarter of the No. 1 Gators' game against Kentucky at Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday night.

"We're going to find out more about Tim. We believe it is a concussion. He got hit pretty good, but that's one tough cat. Our team will pray for him and he'll be fine," coach Urban Meyer said during his postgame press conference.

Tebow's parents joined him at the hospital, and the team was unsure if he was going to be kept overnight..."

Our son goes to TCU. Plays in the band. I will ask him to look at the picture to see if he knows any of the girls. Which one is your niece? My guess is that they are Tri Delts. Am I close?

He is going to be featured at halftime next week against SMU. He will play the Jimi Hendrix song Voodoo Child guitar solo on his tuba. Yep, a tuba playing the guitar solo. I heard him do it in a rehearsal. They mic him on the sidelines and the band answers his solo. Really surprised me, he is really good. Is this my kid??

TCU should beat SMU but they are certainly not taking the game lightly. Andy Dalton, the QB said they cannot make the mistake of doing what they did in 1995 after beating Oklahoma..

Go Frogs........3 and 0........Will they move up from 15 with all the top 10 losses this weekend? I am venturing a guess to 12.....

I think South Carolina should be ranked. I guess I'll have to wait until we beat Alabama.

    LOL!

Right now LSU is overranked...barely beating a weak MSU...and only then due to a coaching error to punt with minutes left in the game on 4th and inches...and a lucky goal line stand.

Texas is playing gimmes. They aren't being tested. Florida is wounded. Boise is probably overranked, we'll see.

We've already seen Virginia Tech get schooled by Alabama, with 'Bama refusing to score inside the 20 on the final drive (a feat repeated in each of Alabama's games so far).

This is shaping up to be another Crimson year.

I think leaving Tebow in when the game is well in hand (or at least calling plays that put him in harm's way) is going to be the one negative for Urban Meyer's college football coaching career. When it is 31-0 at the end of the 1st quarter, get someone else in there to get experience.
I'm surprised that Miami did not fall past #20. Cal really tanked for the loss to Oregon, and FSU is adrift with their current coaching situation.
On the bright side, if there was one team I had to pick us to lose to out of the first three games, it would definitely be VT.
