Found a really nice red one at my local Honda dealer. Here's pics of me sitting in it. A few questions.... Can i change the cambelt with the engine still in it? How long before I can change it? Is it 10 or 15 years on japanese cars? Do they do a tubi for it? Will girls still like me? Will everyone start making fun of my NSX? Is there a more recent version of the NSX where its owners will start making fun of the lesser model? Are the wheels on the right way round? Can i put a Challenge badge on the back of it? Do you think Luca Di Montezelmo will like it? Can someone help me get out of my straight jacket and let me out of this padded room please!!! The NSX is cool, it has something exotic about it, maybe because its one of the only Mid Engined Japanese cars around. But after having said that 348 all the way or did you consider getting a 355?
Holy crap Sy - when I saw the thread title in the listings I was like: "No, the Angelis 348 can't go... it's had soooooooo much attention lavished upon it!!!!" Whew... panic over. All the best, Andrew.
I hate corvettes with a passion but I can still respect the engineering and craftsmanship that went into building it. If you cannot see the technological advices in engineering and the quality went into the nsx, than you my friend are extremely ignorant.
Personally, I like the NSX. I'm not too crazy about the headlights on that particular one (been always a fan of the pop-ups). I'm considering one as a DD. Ace
Strange thing to say that So just point out to me, were Angelis said that he could not see the technological advances. If you would
Looks like it would be perfect for you, but need a pic with flames coming out the exhaust. You could rebadge it for the "NSX Challenge" series and put a stripe on it! Maybe they'd give you a good trade-in on your 348, and include the straitjacket in the deal.
Ditto. I respect it as a machine, but it's not a car I could love as if it had a soul. All the best, Andrew.
Ok ok...... So I'm sitting in bed with a bad cold and bored. Though it was time for another nsx thread. That nsx was in really good condition. Only 7000 miles and owned by the dealership as their showcar. Didn't sound very racy when they started it. Wouldn't swap it for a 348 or a lotus esprit for that matter. But a nice car never the less.
Lotus: "Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious"... there's a reason that's a well-known saying. Absolutely every Lotus Esprit owner I've ever talked (admittedly, only 4 of them) to has had a hell of a time with problems - usually they mention problems without ever being asked about it. Got to talking to a guy at a car show about one and I asked him if he was enjoying it... his reply: "On good days, yes. It's a hell of a lot of fun, but I constantly worry something is about to break." (gist) An old neighbour of mine used to have one as well - the only time I ever saw him take the car out of the garage, he broke down 200 yards down the road and I helped him push it back home. Maybe you should consider an NSX over a Lotus Esprit? All the best, Andrew.
if u would change yr 348 for a honda prelude with a body kit (nsx) u are not worthy to own a ferrari. sorry
An NSX is definitely NOT a Prelude with a body kit. The NSX deserves respect. After all, it was the NSX that was the reason Ferrari built the 355. And I love my 355!
The 355 was used to waste the competition of the day ........ in looks and performance ................. which it accomplished beautifully ............
Looks like they have you fooled too! All kidding aside, the 355 is an awesome machine and I would proudly park one in the garage next to my 348.
if you were on the site long enough you would understand it more. Angelis, Did not mean to come off with so much attitude by the start of things the thread looked like it was just going to be another nsx bashing. Angelis has one of my favorite 348s
IIRC, Honda's ability to engineer their NSX to perform better than the 348 in almost every category scared Ferrari. Lo and behold, in late 1994 Ferrari introduced the world's sexiest piece of Italian art on wheels: Ladies and gentlemen, can we get a moment of silence for the often imitated (see eBay for some crappy kit cars), never again duplicated (360....sexy?? Only if you like yours cars like you like your champagne--bubbly), beautifully delicious 3 5 5 PS. And then we can give a round of applause for the 348. Cuz if Ferrari wouldn't have made the 348....then our 355 wouldn't be so perfect!
