While overall it looks great, engine is somewhat of a disappointment. Out of scale hoses and clamps, venturi tubes are missing from the carb stalks. Few other little things like wrong steering wheel and thick windscreen and headlight covers, slightly wrong boot cover. I'm not sure what TR they used as a prototype, and it is hard to say by looking at the model cause it has features of several S/Ns.
But on a bright side - suspension is terrific, and interior looks very nice. Stance is right (finally!) and wheels look terrific and correct size. Brakes look great, brake lines and all plumbing is very accurate. I really hope that with this model CMC will produce as many different variations as possible. And I sure will buy them all.
    Great job CMC!

No, 0710 had a detachable nose. The model does not.

Have to agree with IH about the thickness of the windshield and headlight covers!
Also the F156 Sharknose seems to suffer from this same mistake. One wonders why?
The thickness of the windshield was spot on on the Maserati Birdcage and 250F!!!

CMC used clear acetate on the Maser, and it was perfect - but! A lot of these windscreens started cracking (mine did) as time passed and CMC had to replace a lot of models and fix a lot of windscreens later on. I think they learned their lesson and made this one less authentic, but more durable.

ddnguyan, I just talked to the Sales Manager of CMC USA and he claims he knows nothing of any race versions of the 250TR. Might I ask where you got your info from?

Fortunately my dealer replaced my 250F even one year after purchase date and that one has been 100% OK. (so far!!) I wonder why some developed cracks and others remained undamaged. Just to be sure I never touch the windshield!

I think it's 0742 TR. A car that stayed on German soil at the time CMC as a German company studied the Testa Rossa concept. So I think its obvious...

A nice article about that car appeared in Ferrari World #50

I know you can order the TR engine in a 1:12 scale from MG models and of course in 1:8 from GMP. As far as I know they only released the Audi engine

I've seen it today at a fair and it's very, very good! Definitely one to add to my collection! But is it true that CMC will also produce a race version? The white one with the blue stripe? I think I'll have to wait for that.
