The man has done many race tracks...over the recent years most new tracks are all designed by him. Almost every single track he designs is a snooze fest for spectators.

He once single handily destroyed one of the greatest, historic track in F1, the hockenheim ring.

He is set to refurbish (read: ruin) circuit de catalunya (ok, can't be much worse than that but he'll probably succeed in making it even worse), Monza (god forbid, don't touch it!) nurburgring and silverstone.

I can design better tracks than he does. To make it work I'll just print out a degree in engineering and hang it in my office and I'll start raking in the $$$ too.

It's not what you know (or what you can design), it's who you know... Bernie likes Tilke, so Tilkes tracks get built.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Why does Tilke get so much business?

Because he designs tracks that allow the action to be seen from many different seating areas. He also designs tracks that take up as little space as possible. Neither of these means anything to me but to Bernie, his up and coming new-money promoters, and to fans with Attention Deficit Disorder (most fans today) this all is appealing.

    I disagree.

Here's a list of current tracks F1 tracks he's made:

    Shanghai - Huge
    Bahrain - Huge
Valencia - Bigger than most tracks
    Istanbul - Huge
    singapore - Huge
    Sepang - Huge
    Hockenheim - small.

Only one out of 7 current F1 tracks uses little space:)

His daughters are both great looking. If you read about his daughter Petra she's incredibly mature for her age. She's the anti-Paris Hilton.

Every track has little or no overtaking in F1. The problem is more to do with the cars than the circuits. I'd bet there's lots of overtaking on Tilke tracks in pretty much every other form of racing.

Michael forget Tamara Petra is the really stunning one: just how the roaring dwarf could have fathered such beauty is beyond me! See below. She is no bimbo either: quite impresssive...

More seriously only Istambul and parts of Sepang and Shanghai can be deemed good desings in my humble view: most of his tracks are lame and lack fast challenging curves, they are just too formatted.

If he ever gets near Monza we should tar and feather him.

It's as if some hack architect was allowed near le Louvres...wait that already happened:-(

    best regards,

    Marc

It's politics and personal. Bernie is Tilke's friend. So Bernie hands him all the contracts and $$$
