Here is the car in question. http://www.boch.com/bochhtml/newbochferrari/pages/VehicleDetails.aspx?StoreID=19&searchType=&stocknumber=F1070B I emailed them a couple days back to inquire but so far no response. I should give them a ring but I figured I'd ask around here first and see if there's any behind the scenes info. Many thanks.
I believe that was there when I purchased mine this past January...their cars are clean and folks are good...prices, of course, have fallen since the time I purchased, though I am completely satisfied.
Can't speak for the car or pricing but I'll vouch for the people. Excellant group in Sales and Service departments. I'm confident they will take care of you properly.
i have pretty much the identical car, and have been thinking of selling if you're interested. except mine has a capristo stage 3 and a challenge grill. i bought mine at FONE. good guys over there.
I appreciate all your kind words with regards to the establishment. I'd find it a bit odd if it was the same car there for a year, no?
Hey Nero Joe...I believe JoeyM is bringing the car to Foxwoods along with some of his other toys. You'll get the $5 tour then for sure. BTW, you are IN for that, right?
Will probably come as a spectator only. Put Dipstick 1 in charge of selling the 355. Don't want to add any miles. Looking for a 360 with F1.
hmmm....mixed emotions...on the one hand, hate to lose a gorgeous 355 from the group...on the other, I could use another F1 on the team when the 3-pedal mob gets on a roll!
They called the market wrong in spring '08 and stocked up to 45+ cars, Lehman etc was shall we say a bit of a blow. To their great credit, they've push through the trouble and in the meantime opened a brand new dealership at the cost of several million dollars. The team there is straightforward and if you phone up and say "why've you had this for a year then?" you'll get a straight answer. I have only good things to say about them in both sales and service terms.
Joey's is a 6 speed, if he hasn't already responded to you. We met up this past weekend. Great guy and a great car.
I wonder if this car sold? It's no longer in their inventory and this after they raised the price $10k two weeks ago. Seems strange.
Yea Joey. I think the first time was 79k to 83k, then up to 89k a week later. It was a nice car, but I can't imagine anyone paid 89 for it.
I agree- the car was going up in price in the middle of a down market. I was making some offers (that were market correct- not low ball offers), although it was one-sided in that 2 offers they didn't return calls dispite saying they would look into what they have into the car and get back (even getting back to say no would have been appreciated). The irony is I was ready to drive up w/check in hand as we were very close on price, but.....they simply didn't call me back! I kept looking, and I'm in the middle of buying the same car (red, stick, coupe) from another dealer who was fabulous- the car I'm getting has lower mileage, is better equipped and cheaper than what these guys wanted, and has a tubi to boot. They can do what they want with their asking prices (as was so relayed to me not-so-elegantly by one of the salesman when I asked why the price of the car jumped up in the middle of my fact-finding), and they can keep almost 4 dozen used ferraris in stock for the coming winter and recession. I will add that I was professional and not rude- it shouldn't have been my attitude that turned them off. They were professional as well with the exception of the failure to return calls and the increase of the asking price in the middle of all of this. Dispite my disappointing experience, the dealer has a good reputation and I'm not trying to bash them- who knows they may have picked the wrong way to try to stall me as they had another higher offer in the works- life is too short for me to spend more time on it than I have. I'm only posting this as I know how fun/frustrating the search for the right car can be (and the search for the right car that met my requirement of a stickshift was tough- why were there so many F1's? ) Anyway, I'm very excited about the car I wound up with - I'll post pics/info when I get the car in the next week or so in the 360 section (car is 1,200 miles away from me so will be a while to get to me- feels like an eternity after saving and waiting for so many years to get a ferrari!).
