    Interesting.

Do you have any information that substantiates your theory that the L150 and the Evoluzione project were linked in any way?

no; only what I've been told by people who worked there during those years; the 'evoluzione' programm initiated by Alfieri rendered two fruits, or two branches from the same tree; the L150/Aerodinamica and the carbon chasis prototype which would be called Evoluzione. Wise enough, and pressed enough by the board, Patrick Mimram chose the P132 way of development, for he thought it would be much more an interesting ongoing project in the eyes of a possible purchaser for the whole company; a project which could justify the requested prize in the eyes of Chrysler. Somehow not wanting to betray Giulio Alfieri, the evolutioned Countach programm wasn't completely abandoned, thus bringing those two specials in the end.

Then I thought that, if the L150 incarnated the aesthetical evolution of the late 'conventional' Countach, and the Evoluzione its structural ultimate evolution, the theory of larger capacity engines -marine derivative- or a twin turbo unit to fit in the ultimate Countach -option very disliked by Alfieri- could make sense. But I have not had any first hand informations of any special powerplant development for it, so we must suppose the FI QV engine was what Alfieri always thought as enough for a much lighter and more aerodinamic Countach, as the 'Evolution' would have resulted.

Anyone knows this Countach? The owner used to display it at an employees car show yearly at Cisco Systems in San Jose, car often won the best car in show. The last I heard is he tried to sell the car a few years back. Now I wished that I bought it back then. Very beautiful car

I know another Cisco employee who owns a yellow QV. But I can't identify this black one, at least not without a license number or VIN.

How much would it have been painted the "right" color?

    Gandini's statement notwithstanding.

I am sure it would have brought more.

Gandini's statement is interesting, but I'm not sure it really means anything when it comes to numbers IMO.

Of note is the fact that 1121002 is simply badged "Lamborghini Countach".

I wonder if it was purpose-built as an LP400S from scratch, or if, like the other Wolf cars, it was built out of an LP400 donor car...

I'm sure somebody with a really good eye for details could figure that out with more photos.

Good to hear. I estimate that in the last decade, half-a-dozen LP400 have been thus re-claimed.
