I like that more-- I want to change mine! 275GTB long nose torque tube and a matching 275GTS, or a 330GTS if I could swing it.
Uncompromised Lineup: Ferrari F40 $400k Porsche Carrera GT $280k Ferrari 16M Scuderia Spider $260k Lamborghini Gallardo SuperLeggera TT $200k?? Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT $160k Ferrari Challenge Stradale $150k Dodge Viper GTS $40k Porsche 944 S2 $10k Now that would be quite the stable.
Party pooper They all serve a purpose but the 288GTO and the Z8 are there strictly for their beauty. Eh details, details...
This topic has been rehashed so many times that if there were a topic about rehashed topics, it would be a rule that this topic couldn't be mentioned in that topic because it would be like cheating. With that said, I will participate ...in the interest of participating. I would buy an Enzo and an Exige. Work out the math however you'd like, I can squeeze both out of $1.5MM. Now which one of you wants to lend me money for gas.
I'll play. F50 Range Rover 550 355 spider Porsche 993 rolls phantom aston db9 volante new s-class That should just about do it...
I don't believe in so much luck.. After 45 year playing my grandfather won $5000 Came home exstatic! Told my grandmother, she pointed out it was peanuts. Quick calculation showed that he spent at least $10.000 on tickets over the years......
Just thought I'd throw out a relevant story for you guys...I was driving around Stone Mountain a year ago and saw a beautiful Panoz Esperante with the top down, and a nice custom license plate reading "WNG TCKT" (or winning ticket). Thought that was pretty awesome. My garage would have: CS C6 Z06 M5 CGT SLR Zonda
This is mind masturbation but I play with "the ideal garage" thoughts on flights and trains... Below is what I consider a realistic dream garage and what I'll probably achieve within 5 years if I find a home with space enough to build a big enough garage. Daily, must be able to be effective on mileage (aka. 400 miles on one tank WITH spirited driving) and be a 100% sleeper so I can park it ANYwhere without thinking of theft/vandalism: BMW 330 X Diesel Touring Track: Ariel Atom 3 Supercharged Winter/rally build: Mitsubishi Evolution IX w/ some 800-awhp I always wanted a true British roadster and an Aston Martin: Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster I always lusted after the hightech Ferrari magic: Ferrari F430 Berlinetta F1 I just NEED the old car smell and problems and something I can work on: BMW M635 CSi E24 All this is in a lift set up with daily's down (BMW, Aston, Ferrari) and occasional use vehicles up (BMW M6, Ariel, Mitsubishi). And if I won the lottery? I'd blow up my living room wall and park a Pagani Zonda F in bare CF inside the house
Hmmm... let's see... if I had $1.5m to spend, I'd probably want to spend only about half of it at first and keep the rest for any other cars that might take my fancy. I'd want to make sure I had at least one very decent car in each of the following categories: Fun road car (V8): Ferrari 348 GTB... $50k Insane track car (V8): Ariel Atom 500... $160k GT road car (V12): Ferrari 612 Scaglietti... $360k 'Discreet' 4-door daily driver (V10): BMW M5 with plenty of options... $100k Rugged vehicle (V8 Diesel): Ford F350 SuperDuty Duelly 4x4... $80k So that keeps it nice and neat: Total spent: $750,000 Remaining cash: $750,000 And that should leave me a fair amount to build a garage, pay for maintenance, insurance, etc... All the best, Andrew.
I think that I would go with: Ferraris: Ferrari 360CS Ferrari 430 Scuderia Ferrari 550 512TR 512 Boxer Any vintage front engine V12 convertible Non-Ferrari: '69 Corvette L71 or L88 (prefer the L88) '69 Pontiac Trans Am '73 Pontiac Trans Am SD 455 '69 Camaro I think that list is doable for 1.5M with some change likely left over. I already own my favorite Ferrari - my 308 GTSi QV, so I am assuming I dont have to put that on the list. PDG
I'd buy a 575 and a Daytona Spider and swap all the mechanicals/electrics over leaving me with a modern Daytona Spider. This would make it one of only two like it in the world. I would then sell the Daytona bits off on ebay and buy a cheap MR2 and put a 355 bodykit on it. Then take it to Ferrari meets just to annoy the 355 owners. I'd also get a 288GTO. I would then buy cars I've always liked, but never got. Cars such as.... Lotus Esprit 350 Porsche 928GT Ariel Atom 308GTS QV Aston Martin Vanquish (with the manual conversion) Ason Martin DBS
LOL! *shakes head in bemused disbelief* Good call on the 288GTO - that's a superb choice. All the best, Andrew.
Wow, after reading some of the lists it made me realize I left out track cars! The Horror! 430 Challenge and a Aerial Atom as well
