Hi to all, after bypassing the dimmer ( if it's positive, it's little) , now I want to change the bulbs of the dash. I found the Orsram type: 1,2 w 2721 and T4W 4w ba9s. For you and your experience are they good for my 328? many thanks.
Maybe not. Loosen the bolts for the steering column height adjustment, and let the column go to the lowest setting. Place a towel over the column to protect from scratches. If you do have to remove the wheel, be prepared with a good quality Allen wrench as the screws are loctited in. Get a wrench that has a long arm, so you can really but some force on it to loosen. I had to use a screw extractor on one, as I buggered the head trying to get it out, the wrench I had was only 4 inches long...it was super tight. Drilling and using the extractor got it out safely. A mechanic told me that is very difficult because the steering is "nailed" and after the screw there is a bolt and it's necessary beating with a hammer on the cried !!! 2) at the end is better to climb on the led lamp? Well Vito. To remove the steering wheel you've only to unscrew the six allens. That's all. After that you've more room to work on the dash. The swap to LED for me is the way to go, to reach more visibility, with less power consumption and less heat. But if your dash lights are bright enough, it's not necessary. At your own discretion. I've found my LED on eBay and Internet shops. Do a search for BA9s LED high intensity and also wedge type LED. I don't know exactly the bulb type of the 328 -I own a 308-. Cheers
Hi, this afternoon I started the work: I unscrewed only 3 allens, for the other 3 now the key turns in the head ! I'm worried. How can I do now?
Bad news. You will need a good mech to help you. If the Allen wrench turns inside the bolt, maybe you could try with a Torx wrench one size greater -4 mm I think-. The Torch is like an Allen but with different profile. But it would be easier for a mechanic. Regards

very bad news; I am sorry. The steering wheel has been removed but the mechanic has cut the heads of the allens ( 3) that have remained in the centers! They doesn't want to come away. What's your suggestion ?
Get a set of screw extractors. You will have to drill a hole into the screw and then insert the extractor and back the screws out that way. It's a bit of a PITA, but it works.
Hi, finally this evening I finished the work (but not the central light.) First to say is that for me the result is modest and so it is not worthwhile for the difficulties that are there. Both in to remove the steering wheel that the dashboard can be created some damages. At the end I advise not to do this job . This light are correct for the period of creation . To be complete I must change the central light but I don't know how I can take off these. I'm waiting for an help. Regards.
